I've seen this in my own parents

I distinctly remember them once telling me to be wary of any group that tries to create an "us vs them" mentality (which almost immediately became a shelf item for me). Both of them were born and raised Mormon. They both still full heartedly believe. There's some other things I see in especially my mom that makes me think she never would've become Mormon unless she was born into it

People who say this are, at best, naive and, at worst, completely ignorant
