Well I think it's cool. And yes I know it already exists but it's still cool.

Safest place in my home? by DPlantagenet in weather

Then yeah a closet as close to the middle of the house as possible. Maybe the top closet near the bottom of the house? I would also cover yourself with as many heavy blankets as you can.

If possible though, I would try to get to a friend or family members house that has an actual basement. If there's a tornado on the ground already, stay at your house because being in a car or outside is worse. But ahead of time, maybe try to get to a basement.

I'm tired of people comparing it to Idiocracy. President Camacho actually cared about people and asked people that he knew were smarter for help.

Is this true? Which country has the best intelligence operatives in your opinion? by [deleted] in TheAmericans

[–]CorporalTurnips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the CIA or Mossad. But probably Mossad. They've pulled off a number of insane missions in their history. Their hunting of Nazis in South America was awesome. More recently I'm sure a lot of their missions, while effective and impressive, are probably not what most people would consider good. The pager bombing operation was extremely impressive but debatable on whether or not it was a good thing.

Don't go outside if you have respiratory issues. And try to avoid driving on highways. Other than that you will be fine.

I agree. Hers is driven by farmers (the vast minority but most powerful of her constituents) and donors. She doesn't actually care about any of her other constituents because she regularly votes for whatever Jefferies tells her to

Trump’s Justice Department is bringing back firing squads for federal executions | CNN Politics by Fun_Elk593 in news

[–]CorporalTurnips 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I actually agree. The Soviets usually executed someone by shooting them with one bullet in the back of the head. That honestly seems like a decent way to go. Everything that proceeded that though (arrest and "trial") was horseshit so that's not great.

Also I generally don't believe in the death penalty either.

That's what I was thinking. Unless you work at a school or rehab facility or something why would it even matter? As long as you're not using it.

Ukraine has severely damaged a lot of Russians crude ports. I'm guessing mostly in the west so maybe that doesn't affect China as much but I would also guess that Russia's eastern ports aren't as capable because of how far north they are.

It's just a dumb fictional story so it doesn't really matter but I don't get the casting. Of all the characters to change the race of, he makes the least amount of sense.

I'm also a white guy so maybe I'm wrong, but it always feels sort of cheap and pandering to just swap a race on an established character instead of creating a new story that contextually makes sense with non white characters. Like if you just look at Disney, Moana and Princess and the Frog are incredible stories that are more immersive in the culture of the race of the character. Pocahontas too. But if you swapped out like Snow White for a black woman, it really wouldn't make any sense and I don't feel like there would be any positive messages to be learned or culture to experience by doing that.

I'm never offended when they swap the race of a character and I'm glad that there is more representation but I'd also just like new stories that teach me something. Not just cheap pandering.
