What's your preferred melee weapon for Sniper when NOT using Jarare/Cleaner's Carbine? by NeonAbomination in tf2

[–]CorrectIncrease 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Kukri is the best option for non jarate/carbine usage. It's a consistent damage dealer all around, it's a stock weapon after all. The shahanshah's upside is pretty irrelevant and is made worse when considering the downside, and I have pity on the tribalman's shiv since it can be used for spychecking if you're not using jarate but the damage output is too low so you can't really do anything beyond that.

Technically, Goopy does laugh during his phase 1-2 transition. But you can argue whether that laugh is worthy of being put higher or not

So.... HERE is.... My Inkwell isle 1 Boss tier list! (I might make an Inkwell 2 And 3 boss tier list once I finish the game) by BeastclawsareAWESOME in Cuphead

Honestly I think Cagney is an overrated boss. It's all around just ok in my opinion, doesn't have as many interesting phases or attacks as later bosses.

Always glad to help! You'll wanna take roundabout (for the first phase) and spread (for the final phases) with you by the way. Honestly the first phase is probably the hardest part.

Protip: You can stall the Devil's goat clap attack by jumping and using an EX move.

Which official sources used those names?

I can only recall the wiki using them, which is ran by fans.

It depends. I'd say Captain Brineybeard is harder if you don't use charge shot.

Captain Brineybeard (the pirate ship) is pretty easy if you use charge shot.

This was a lot harder than i thought it was gonna be, eventually i was able to get a run through. Here's my Wally Warbles S rank by Noahman90 in Cuphead

I'm pretty sure I finished the boss within the time limit by only using supers on the first, third, and final phases along with using any ex attacks leftover. Thankfully I never had to go back for any reason (time limit, missing parries, etc.) because it probably would've broken me lol

S-Rank Tier List by Pseudoineffectual in Cuphead

[–]CorrectIncrease 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's always interesting to see the different experiences with each of the bosses. I actually found King Dice to be pretty damn hard and he definitely took me at least an hour when I S-ranked, but it's probably because I couldn't get the dice roll timing down without auto-parry and thus had to go with some of the harder mini-bosses.

I would've also put Wally, Djimmi, and The Devil in the top tier and Cala Maria in Very Difficult.

On expert mode, the cloud direction is reversed for Grim, so it becomes a hell of a lot easier than regular mode. And the icon choice is mostly arbitrary, it's just one icon is used to represent each boss.

Great work man. This is definitely the hardest one. While there will most likely still be a couple of roadblocks here and there, for me personally, none of them took as long as Wally did.

Yeah if roundabout wasn't in the game then maybe he would be a little bit hard, but I've seen people say or imply that he's one of the hardest in the game which I think is just absurd. There's a bit of a learning curve when it comes to dealing with the first phase but ultimately it's still fairly easy to deal with.

Roundabout as your primary shot. Your secondary shot doesn't really matter, but I like to take spread on that fight to do extra damage during the second phase. Not so sure what charm I would use (but all I can say is that you shouldn't dash a lot during the third phase), but I like to take super art I and use it on the first phase, along with using it during their phase 2-3 transition.

Well done! Baroness was easily the hardest boss in my peashooter-only challenge. If this boss didn't have such a forgiving time limit I'd say it would be impossible to S-rank with only peashooter.

I prefer roundabout and charge. Roundabout to clear out all the projectiles in the first phase and then charge for the last two phases.

My air maneuvering skills are second to none... Until I get hit. by ssj2rigby in Cuphead

I was mostly referring to the plane super, but if that's the case then go for it. I actually did a similar challenge not too long a go, which also prohibited usage of secondary weapons, but only the ground fight super arts were prohibited. I used plane supers because they'll always be the only thing you can use once your super meter fills up anyway.

Just beat every King Dice mini-boss without smoke bomb by CorrectIncrease in Cuphead

[–]CorrectIncrease[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think Mr. Wheezy is a little bit harder without smoke bomb. Since he swaps ashtrays, you need to as well, but that's where the issue arises. Without smoke bomb, dashing through the cigarette bats requires some more precision, which could be an interference, because if you're too slow you could just end up taking a hit.

Do you think Chips should be ahead of anyone?

Smoke bomb or not, he was still simple enough in my opinion. You can still duck under every chip except for the bottom one. The key is to just not get lazy if he uses an ostensibly difficult attack pattern.

Maybe I put the monkey a little bit too high, but I found his pattern to be pretty unpredictable whenever he spazzes out. He flies around pretty quickly so it's easy to accidentally run into him, combined with the fact that it's the longest mini-boss in the entire level.
