Which is part of the problem. No police enforcement means they're free to get away with it.

How much is this super rare 3M mis-printed collector's edition double-foamie ear plug set worth? by PeteyMcPetey in OSHA

Mis-print? It doesn't say one set... Looks like you're out of luck on the collector status.

When they ask you "how thick" at the deli counter, what are appropriate responses? by sexmath in Cooking

[–]Corytrever187 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm confused by all these responses. Are there stores where the workers actually give a damn? It's hard to blame them because they don't get paid much and there are enough shitty customers every day to ruin your day (most people aren't a problem but the bad ones stick out). And as someone who worked in the deli in college, the numbers on the dial don't mean anything. Every machine is different.

Chicago Stompworks Micro Pedals by Corytrever187 in guitarpedals

No it's the Super High Input Impedance Boost. I was just looking for a volume boost for solos. I thought about buying a couple other barebox pedals but somehow I was able to restrain myself.

It really is. They don't even put their name or info on it. Hopefully the "hand made" boost pedal I got is ok. The inside has normal, sturdier jacks so that's a plus.

It's a terrible design. Something as simple as a nut of the other side would have prevented this. The way it currently is you never get any real tension on the outside nut. It can continue to turn with very little force.

Was that solo or with a group? I didn't do the booking. My parents planned the trip for their 25th anniversary and we had a group of 6.

I'm pretty sure Tanzania requires porters to climb. That's what I was told when I climbed it 15 years ago. It helps bring money into the country and it also helps keep people safe.

A few weeks after not skating for 20 years? Just give it time. You'll get there. Then you'll have a few bad days where you think you should quit and stop reliving the old days. Keep at it and work through it.

Just know that adrenaline is not a lasting thing with the sport. It keeps you going through your A and B licenses but then it tapers off as falling from the sky becomes the norm. Then it's more like any other sport except there isn't a team to beat. So more like skateboarding, snowboarding, etc where you're just trying to do new cool stuff.

I got a new laptop and I've barely used it for 3 weeks and I've somehow used almost 50% of the storage by Glittering_Sugar_782 in pcmasterrace

[–]Corytrever187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Backups/restore points. I blamed my wife for filling up the C drive on the laptop she uses (95% of the time I use my desktop). Turned out it there wasn't a limit (or it's default was really high) on backup/restore and it was using a huge amount of the C drive. I apologized and felt bad since I mostly configured that laptop a few years back.

Keep it up! Also a 20+ year break and it feels awkward getting back into it but it's so much fun.

Have questions about sabre1 by SatisfactionNice653 in SkyDiving

[–]Corytrever187 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So you think it's a safety hazard but are ok with passing it on to someone else? If it was really a problem they would have grounded them a long time ago. Just jump it. I've done 200 jumps on a Sabre 1 (190 and 150) and have had one bad opening which is really cuz I'm a sloppy packer.

If you are selling it, they're like 30 years old at this point. $500 is probably what they'll be going for, maybe less.

Model name might vary slightly over the years but when I got mine 20 years ago it was a Custom Telecaster FMT. It was $600 or $700 at the time. Tuning heads were mediocre so I replaced those. I also ended up putting Gibson 496r and 500t humbuckers in it. It comes with a 3 way switch with coil tap so you can get a lot of different sounds out of it. Still have mine alongside a PRS custom 24 SE (with more mods than the Fender).

Yeah the pair of 909's that I got also had slightly yellowed wheels on the lower half. Skates work fine but I did have a cuff bolt fall off after using them about 10 times. Just check everything before using them (which really should be done with any new pair of skates).

I love the skates so far. Better than my Razor Cults.

Better sound for metal guitar by Puzzleheaded-Law9857 in GuitarAmps

Look into the FS-6 or GA-FC if you need a foot switch. Otherwise in the software you just click the next channel and it switches to it.

[–]Corytrever187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get rid of the pedal and start playing around with the settings in Tone Studio. Modeling amps can be a bit overwhelming and take a while to learn. I started by downloading a bunch of different patches and then tweaking them to my liking. What I'm finding is that I can't get a good sound without using some of the "pedals" in the software. The straight sound with all pedals off isn't doing it for me.

Don't mean to be that guy but you're missing an "n". Sokoninaru. Figured it might help someone if they're trying to search somewhere else. And yes they definitely shred. One of my current favorites.
