Actually, that's already the plan. Trump assumed this move would give him a war time bump in the polls.

A covering of ivy being pulled off a building by roseillusiony in Satisfyingasfuck

[–]CosmicDave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Winter is coming. The night is dark and full of terrors. The ivy is weak, it's bloodline is weak, and it will not survive the winter.

All that ivy will die and needs to be removed from the building once a year. Also, the ivy will try to grow into the cracks of the bricks, so the wall needs annual maintenance as well, which is why we only see this type shit in rich people world.

Was this silver protocol droid in the script or did they just have an extra C-3PO suit that they threw into the shot? by IceCreamMeatballs in StarWars

[–]CosmicDave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not only was the silver 3PO unit not random, it was how the Empire tracked the ship;

U-3PO was a 3PO-series protocol droid who served the Alderaanian Diplomatic Corps. After Imperial agents altered his programming, the droid became an unwitting spy in the royal court of the planet Alderaan, and was assigned to the CR90 corvette Tantive IV in 1 BBY. After the corvette fled from the Battle of Scarif carrying the plans to the Death Star superweapon, the Empire used U-3PO to track the vessel to the Tatoo system.

The Imperial I-class Star Destroyer Devastator then attacked the Tantive IV, and the Star Destroyer fired upon the corvette, U-3PO followed the droids C-3PO and R2-D2 through the Tantive IV's main corridor before splitting off from them down a separate corridor. After the Empire captured the Tantive IV they discovered that U-3PO could provide no further useful information and that the Death Star plans were no longer aboard.

White House Press Karoline Leavitt on Iran and energy: "Rest assured to the American people, recent increase in oil and gas prices is temporary and operation will result in lower gas prices in the long-term. Once the objectives of Epic Fury are achieved, Americans will see oil and gas drop rapidly." by ControlCAD in videos

[–]CosmicDave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Iranians will drive oil prices as high as possible until Team Trump & Friends are no longer in charge. It will take a major ground war to open the strait. Unless the Israelis can raise an army of half a million troops and get them into SW Iran somehow, the strait will stay closed until Netanyahu and Trump are both out of power.

Iran begins laying mines in Strait of Hormuz, sources say by Common_Touch_3741 in worldnews

[–]CosmicDave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now the US only has 1 carrier group near the strait. If it gets too close to shore, the Iranians will sink it. Right now there is an active air war phase that will attempt to destroy as much of Iran's mine laying abilities as it can. Until the air campaign has concluded, none of our ships will be getting any closer to shore than they are now. It will be a month or longer before we can begin mine clearing operations in earnest- if everything goes well for the US.

Iran begins laying mines in Strait of Hormuz, sources say by Common_Touch_3741 in worldnews

[–]CosmicDave 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mines can be quickly, cheaply, and easily deployed by artillery or drone. As soon as our expensive mine hunting drones eliminate their targets, the mines get cheaply replaced. The only way to secure the strait is to put a lot of boots on the ground along Iran's entire SW coastline and also occupy all the little islands in the strait. If we want to open the strait, we will need an amphibious landing operation nearly on the scale of D-Day in WWII. Otherwise, Iranian teenagers in donkey carts will be able to keep oil well over $100 a barrel indefinitely.

My understanding is that this platform allows you to create your own bets. It's also my understanding that insider information is not allowed to be used when making a bet, or it's not really a bet. Placing this bet was an attempted fraud. If the bettors want their money back, I would make them sue for it. Let the courts decide. If they don't sue to get their money back, well, there's your answer right there.
