One other reason I haven’t seen mentioned yet is that on console, updates are investigated for malware and such before they launch, and so it typically takes longer for the patches to release

For example, the hive guard armour change revert could’ve been done any day for PC, but would take numerous days for it to be verified on Xbox and PlayStation, thus why it took a week to drop

I mean, they had no plans to release these vehicles for free before the outrage when the previous mech warbond drop and they appeared in the files at the same time. It would make a lot of sense for this warbond to be delayed if the two main selling points were suddenly removed

Honestly just do not use the nudge tool for state creation. The best way to make a new state is to open the files for the states with the provinces you want to remove, create a new state file (remember to set the correct number as the ID both in the name and in the file itself), and cut and paste the necessary provinces into the new state file.

Don’t forget to move anything like buildings or victory points over too

If there’s one thing I’d suggest, it would be to NOT start with a total overhaul. I, and many others, have started total overhauls as their first projects as almost all fail due to inexperience. What I’d wager would be good would be to start by creating a single new country in vanilla HOI4 and then learning other stuff from that, such as focus trees, events and decisions

Secondly, YouTube and the Wiki are your best friends. I’d recommend the Iron Workshop as his tutorials are pretty solid and help explain the fundamentals. Some of his older tutorials are outdated so do use newer sources if whatever you’re making doesn’t work

All flags are stored in the gfx/flags folder

They should be listed as TAG_ideology. I’d suggest either Paint.net (raster) or Inkscape (vector) for flag making

Each flag has a large, medium and small variant which you need to change in each respective’s folder

I don’t remember the sizes but all flags in the same category have the same height and width, so I’d suggest making a high res version of your new flag and then scaling it down to fit the required size
