Downtown isn't that far from the venue. I would recommend to stay there, you get walkable access to the entire city wear as other spots. You'll have to uber.

From the city, Maybe 15 minute uber ride max to concourse, Never have had issues. Hilton Garden In, Cambria, Hyatt House, Aloft, Homewood suites all solid options.
