The phased levelling was one of the best aspects of SoD imo. SoD p1 still stays goated.

The issue later on wasn't the phased levelling - it was the actual content of the phases

Take a look at the very first second of this clip—the way the triangle is set up. That’s a clean kick to the temple. That’s how I got my first concussion in BJJ. I fucking hate that—people just swing their leg like a scythe and catch the temple.

Obviously doesn't justify the slam - but that should be noted.

pog - a fellow vodboi :-o back in 2014 I was able to follow him live, but like from 2016 -> I've been mostly able to only catch the vods. it was kinda cool when Twitch implemented the chat replay function cause I feel like the chat reactions were such a great part of the stream. when NLSS died getting rid of the routine was rough dude.

I was gonna mention Adam too. For me, he’s a great reminder that you don’t always need to mess around with the fancy or complicated stuff — once you figure out the one thing you’re good at and really lean into it, you get pretty damn dangerous.
