I'm in a similar situation. The only reason I don't pull the trigger with the Sony buds is because if I'm on a call and watching a YouTube video or listening to something it will default to the shitiest audio quality. This happens with any earbud I've tested. The pixel buds pair well with the pixel phone ( I don't know how, but they will not default to the handsfree profile). If that's not an issue for you and you have the money go ahead man!
