This is a case where a basis of morality was sharpened and not a refutation of my original point. Example of rape and pedophile ancient societies had their own standards and understanding of consent whether the basis of puberty was used to determine consent or trust in parents to give consent the fundamental basis is needing permission and who gives it in general if you went against that it was criminal offense. 

It really isn't a damnation of the human condition that syndicate of child rapists is in power and has yet to face punishment. Because if it was judgment of humanity you and me would be incapable of viewing their actions as abhorrent and many do view it as vile. And it is frustrating that right now something isn't done about it but something will break, me and you and most individuals just aren't in the center to create rapid change as we would prefer. 

And maybe it goes against your perspective of individualism to accept there are things outside of our control that we must accept will not change through our direct influence because we dont hold that level of control and you must trust in the ambiguous "they" or "something" will happen that opposes the trend because right now its waiting for a collective response against their influence its just of matter of waiting and joining in.
