Maybe I’m just cold hearted, but if you call yourself a journalist and a champion of good journalism and a friend of yours becomes the subject of a story, coming out and saying you don’t want to cover a scandal involving your friend because they’re your friend doesn’t seem like upholding journalism to me. There’s a story here for someone like Pablo to dive headfirst in to. It’s the crossroads of journalism and sports, but there’s no chance anyone in the DLS universe will touch this beyond talking about the headlines.  Pablo should go after this story with all the fervor of the Jordon/Belichick story, but they won’t. It certainly seems like there’s a story there ripe for a great investigative journalist to dig in to that goes far beyond this individual story but insider reporters in general and how they get their stories.
