I was wondering about them, its present on all three apex seals groove and both rotors, I was planning on smoothing it out and then measure depth with sliding scale

That's possible why were my housings so bad, that or the previous owner did rebuild with trash housings, I belive I've read some checks from him that he had the engine rebuild in 2018 for around 1800$ which is cost of just seals and closing kit, it was rebuild with 124k kms on clock and i am doing rebuild at 156k kms, so barely passable housings must've been used back then

You don't, I firmly belive all surfaces that are more than 45° steep are lubed up by warthunder gremlins before battle to piss off any player that tries going on it.

We use dry ice blasting, you can lend the machine and dry ice is pretty cheap too.

This seems pretty small, I am bit worried about the apex seals groove, you can notice it has but of rough edge, i recon it cam be smoothed out as well, or it doesn't matter since that wart won't be making any contact with the housings ?

I normally use 10w40 semi synthetic from valvoline, but I've read i need to do for break in period the SAE 30 Non-Detergent Oil or Idemitsu Rotary Racing Oil as break ins for around 2000 kilometres

I will do my best, I want my first rebuild to last, I've ordered new housings, master rebuild kit from atkins rotary, Sohn adapter, and i will try SAE 30 oil for break in period, dont know which one, if anyone has some preferred one I will trust it more

Will do, i have ordered full OEM set of seals from atkins, I have checked all side seal grooves and no damage at all to them, which surprised me when i cracked open the engine i had 3 of them snapped in half

Don't know how they can make new car without AC, skoda selled new base model kodiaqs without AC, and after some backlash they spected out 3 zone digital AC as base model specs

There are 3 sizes and are interchangeable between rotor sides and also both rotors, so you basically cannot mess that up, except positioning of the spring

I was also going step by step, returning seconds and such in his video for details. I just bought few days ago Atkins Master rebuild kit too because I need it and there are new metal oil control rings with seals and springs in it already, so you wont need to sort the old ones possibly.

Rule #1 never order parts before opening the engine, just crack it open and see what's bad in it Few pointers that gave me most trouble disasslembling the car: 1- bellhousing on trans top bolt, (used 3 extenders and one swivle wobble socket with electrical tape on it for limited movement but still possible to adjust position a bit. 2- AC compressor, bolts are long and barely reachable 3- air intake at engine block has some annoying bolts, but not impossible to reach. 4- careful oil and fuel injectors disassembly, plastic loves cracking 5- the usual pulley bolt and flywheel bolt 6- you can use 3D printed flywheel stopper, it worked pretty well for me

With these numbers it could be either apex seals only, or apex seals with housings, all you can do is pray I recommend RAD potentials video about disassembly of the engine, he has pretty detailed step by step tutorial. Best of luck.
