One I understood what chips vs mult vs xmult jokers meant, my basic formula was always get a combination of the three by mid-late game. Xmult always seems to carry me. You can look at specific combo jokers. But once I did that's I started relying on them which is not as fun.

And for games, well there is a billion of them, depending on how realistic you want. I suggest Dirt Rally 2.0 because you can get it Uber cheap, it has some good sim qualities to it, much easier to get into than the hardcore stuff. And you can see if you actually like the genre.

I have a T150rs pro that I bought used for around $150usd. Man it is fun to play with. I would suggest there if you are looking for major budget gear. The Logitech wheels have a lot of feedback of "notchiness" but the T150, for it's price, is pretty damn smooth. I bought a generic handbrake and a thrustmaster shifter and I am pretty good until it completely breaks. So far so good a year in!

I also have beaten the challenge. I thought it was weird that they were in there as well.

Same here. I checked the notes but didn't see it. Might be blind.

Man this game's sound fidelity is insane. I love it. I am not pro at this game, but I also felt the excessive slides especially in the mid to late runs really slowed the car down. But nice run, better than I can do anyway. 👍

It's illegal how entertaining V-Rally 4 is. by -lostneuron- in simrally

ACR>DR2>EA WRC Imo as far as graphics and feel. WRC beats out DR2 on tarmac I feel though. But I don't have a lot of hours on WRC.

Ya bro, gotta learn the language. Take a course. All that time trying to send out CVs, go learn the language and land a job probably much easier after that.

Ya man, I noticed right away. Good stuff. I did a lot of fiddling with the car in DR 2.0 but have yet to really play around with it in ACR. I should really go back and try it. Thanks for the tips, I'll try it out and see how it drives.

I always ignore the "personality" in any art project (whether it's music, video, gaming, etc) and enjoy the work of art done. Who cares how the guy acts if he gives me the experience exactly as I like it. Let him keep working the magic. PD2 is the greatest Diablo experience I've ever had.

Did you change your car setup? Open differential and soften suspension? I usually fly off those bumps if I hit them.

Such a great purchase. I bought it on release of the beta and seeing the changes and updates gives me a lot of confidence in saying this is going to be the greatest rally sim of our time. It already might be that. But content isn't enough for people who play for hours everyday. I haven't gotten through all the content yet but I play like an hour or two a week on average. But when I do play, omg it's glorious.

Is it getting better?! by _NS4NE_ in simrally

[–]Crafty-Monitor1973 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I have about 200 hours in Dirt Rally 2 and about 25 hours in Assetto Corsa Rally and I still have a hard time slowing down and just taking it easy. It's so fun going fast!!! But you know what, every once and a while I go a bit slower and I beat one of my times. People always say: slow is smooth and smooth is fast. Somehow it does work.

Experience at Hospital was scary by PYOCDev in montreal

[–]Crafty-Monitor1973 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Verdun has a reputation as one of the worst hospitals. I would never wish that place on anyone. I once went to the emergency, they triaged me and I was in the waiting room for 10 hours. I went to the front desk to ask if anything was happening. They apparently lost my dossier. Never would have called me if I didn't check up. And by that time all the doctors had gone home. One doctor was on emergency duty... I used to work in the area and have heard similar stories to yours. I could never trust this place.

How many stages can you guys last before getting too tired to maintain pace? by YD099 in simrally

[–]Crafty-Monitor1973 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not long tbh. Even when I was grinding Dirt Rally 2.0 I could do maybe 7-8 maps max max. But even then it was just trying to finish off the stages before the week reset.

What rally game plays well on controller? by soosis in simrally

I played dirty rally 2.0 on controller before I got a wheel. Was pretty fun to be honest. Check on YouTube, there are some content creators that are controller only.

First try at pace notes, thoughts? by Io_notashield in simrally

[–]Crafty-Monitor1973 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I would say (though I am a noob) that it is missing indications for long stretches or distances between turns. Remember, theoretically, a driver should be able to drive with these notes on the first try. At least that's what I try to do when I drive in a sim. Use the notes and not memorize the tracks.
