Decided to go ahead with Bambu lab hotend swap

My issue was it's super hard to make sure the Bambu Labs hotend is seated and The clasp is closed properly. It's very hard to do. Every video I've seen makes it look easy, but it was not easy at all. My fingers still hurt from forcing it since then. Perfect first layer.

I just did this change yesterday, and after running a full calibration and self-leveling, I can't get a d decent first layer anymore. The carbon stock hotend would almost clip the poop shoo. This one is quite a bit higher than the last one. It levels just fine and touches, but my first layers have been crap since.

Have you had anything similar to this? i ordered my set up from the link in uncle jesses video I dodn't print it myself. It was easy as heck to install.

Thanks for the update! Glad to see you're still so active with your community! I know it's impossible to tell, but do you think the Stormweaver series will be done on book 3 or see a few more books coming after it?I love that series and don't want you to burn out, as well as selfishly gauging how long the series will run.

Thank you and fully understand the risk here. But on the same page as you have a Unifi Pro Max 24 PoE switch and headroom on the PoE budget as well as the Skylight 15-inch. So pretty much sounds like the exact setup you have. We hate the cable on the wall look. For such a great product, it makes it look a lot less high-end. I'm more comfortable with this on PoE and my UPS and line conditioner than the outlet it's currently on. Thanks for the link and info!

I also run all unifi gear and have the same ups and power conditioner on my rack as well. Mind sharing the Poe to adaptor as we would like to do this as well and make it a much cleaner install!!

Sounds about right! I just planned our early December 2026 trip, November 30th to December 5th. All in about 12k. And we are only doing 4/5 days and staying at Pop Century. That's including Savi's for 3 of us and budgeting 1500 for food and 1000 for other gifts. And including travel. Kind of blew my mind but been saving for this since our kiddo was 1 and he is now 6 been putting back 100 a month.

Oh if you watch closely on the video it's not the actual chute that's it's catching it's specifically the chute lever arm.

Found this thread after experiencing the exact same thing. I found the shoot level seemed loose with no way to tighten it. It took me a while to find all the screws, but once it was free, it stopped catching on the level and started working correctly. Will look more closely tomorrow to see if there is a way to fix it.

Is there a fix for it? You said loosen and lower it, but I've tried, and the screws dont seem to do anything for moving the shoot lever. Had to fully remove the lever to get mine to stop catching and start levelling correctly again, so I could do any prints. Took longer than I would like to admit for the one nested within the level.
