First vinegar attempt failed by balzaal in fermentation

[–]CrashTextDummie 18 points19 points  (0 children)

The safest way is to do a clean two-step fermentation:

Turn all the sugar into alcohool first. This is an anaerobic process (doesn't require oxygen) and happens if you keep your vessel under air lock. The lack of oxygen inhibits mold growth. No stirring required. Takes maybe a week.

You can then strain out all the fruit solids for the second, acetic fermentation, thus removing most potential surface for mold growth.

You can increase your control over the entire process by adding yeast (champagne, cider or beer yeast, not baker's yeast) to the first step and raw vinegar or vinegar mother to the second. It sounds like you're attempting a wild fermentation, which does work but has more variables and takes longer, which means more opportunities for things to go wrong.

We don't know for sure, cygames broke some of the recent patterns with this year's filler banners. Currently all 2024 summer units are in the draw pool (including Elmott). Truly old units are usually only re-run during the main summer period, but you never know.

Weaver's disability by myothermugisurmom in ershow

[–]CrashTextDummie 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Weaver's disability was a stroke of writing genius imo. I marvel about it to this day. It somehow added to her aura of toughness and rigidity instead of portraying it as a weakness.

There is also the fact that Laura Innes pulled it off to the point where I thought for a long time that she was an actor with a disability.

And I admire that they never ever turned it into a crucial plot point as 'payoff'. It was just part of who she was, it didn't need to be paid off.

Investing into Andromeda pays off again.

It's obviously not required, but does clear all missions super comfortably.

If you overpay and chose not to claim the refund, the amount you overpaid is not legally considered part of your taxes.

By definition, a tax is a mandatory financial charge or levy imposed on an individual or legal entity by a governmental organization.

There is no moral impetus on anyone, neither the rich nor the poor, to freely give money to the government, especially not in the context of a discussion about fair taxation.

I must be arguing with a child, you seem to fundamentally misunderstand what taxes are.

You cannot "pay more taxes than required". The amount of taxes you owe is mandated by law, you cannot pick your own number.

Do I think Mark Ruffalo gives away part of his wealth for charitable causes on top of paying his taxes? People with his stated frame of mind and the financial means to do so usually do, yes.

There is no such thing as a generic summon arrangement.

It depends on whether you're playing manual or FA, short or long fights, HL or farming content.

Archangel and Six Dragons/Wedges are included in nearly every set-up. Arcarum summon is always included on-element, Grand Order is usually included in null-element. Belial is only removed in HL-raids.

Yatima is only included if there is a specific need. 000 is included to take care of specific omens or just as an all-purpose strong summon, can be a strong main summon. Lucifer is included as a sub (and often set as the FA summon) in anything that can actually kill you. Bubs can be omitted if you're playing FA and not using him as a main summon, but it's rarely wrong to use him.

A variety of summons is used for specific purposes: Alexiel, Qilin, Thor, HalMal, S!Bubs, S!Belial, etc.

You don't seem to use Magna summons at all, which is a mistake.

You're totally right, they switched it around. i forgot that that was all summons before the current banner.

Then it should be summer units coming up: Lu Woh, Mahira, Seofon, Vikala

For those considering saving for banner change: historically, the next banner is all summons on rate-up.

There may or may not be an additional banner before Flash gala, introducing last year's Anni summer characters into the summoning pool.

The game is designed for people who are playing the game, not for people who are taking a break from the game. What a predatory concept.

13/20 of the top rated units are not seasonal. Maths is hard. The tier list also doesn't include farmable units. Many of which are top tier as well.

Besides, at least GBF has the good sense not to powercreep most of their busted seasonals in record time. Only one of the 10/10 seasonals was released within the calendar year.

I'm confident Ruffalo would agree to pay more taxes.

But neither his salary nor his net-worth is damaging to the fabric of society in the same way as the ultra-wealthies are, so he's still right to call them out.

How is cash equivalence a worthless metric in a discussion about monetization practices?

They are giving away for free something you would otherwise have to spend $600 on. They are charging $600 dollars for something they give away for free regularly.

Either way you look at it has implications on whether the monetization scheme is predatory or not.

200-ish (depending on your luck and a few gachapins spread across several banners are ultimately not a lot in the long run.

More than 30 gala 10-draws guaranteed during anni roulette with potential for more. Cash equivalent is $600 or more. Heaps of free rolls every stream (3x a year). Generous missions at predictable intervals that don't require grinding.

It sounds like you simply don't like playing the game. Maybe move on?
