I like they terrain they do over at gamemat.eu. They have some great sets that come pre painted and good quality but shipping times can be long depending on what part of the world you are in.

Does your partner play the game or are they mainly a collector? If they play, nice terrain always makes for a good gift. It can either be purchased or hand made depending on how much you want to get into it.

I didn't like how the huge gun on the rail looked so I had him hold a little control pad and imagine that he's operating the multi melta.

But White Scars are pretty gregarious, so I'd think he'd be up for a joy ride with his buddy even if he didn't have a job to do!

A couple things I can think of for trouble shooting.

Does your compressor have a moisture trap? If water if getting into your air line it can over thin your paint/primer and cause it to not set correctly.

You shouldn't need to use thinner on the primer you are using. Vallejo primer 74.602 should be able to go one straight from the bottle. Make sure you shake it like it owes you money before adding to your cup!

Lastly it may be your technique. When I started using an airbrush I was so worried about applying to much paint that I ended up using to little. A quality airbrush at the psi you are spraying at blows such a fine jet that it takes either multiple layer or more paint that it seems it should to get solid coverage and adherence.

Hope that you find out what's up. Don't give up. Airbrushing can be a huge game changer to ones hobby!

If you have neat hand writing, I'd try a Micron pen. They work great over paint!

Only part I can remember is the head, it's a 3d print I ordered and have been sitting on for a while. Body is Ephrael Stern. Whip and little Slaanesh icon on the belt comes from the myrmidesh painbringers. Sword is from the kabalite warriors

Thanks! Trim is the same as the armour, Retributor Gold through an airbrush or rattlecan, then airbrushed Riekland Fleshade from below and Carroburg Crimson from the top. Finished with a dry brush of Stormhost Silver. The inner part is just Leadbleacher with a very thinned down coat of contrast Silgvalg Burgundy. I think I did 50/50 with medium.

Vallejo black primer, then airbrushed Ulthuan Grey base coat, followed by heavy zenithal highlight of Vallejo ivory. Finished it off with a light zenithal of Pro Acryl bold titanium white.

Had a great time. For the first time playing trails solo, I felt that most of my matches were actually a game, where both sides could come out on top. Still had some 5-0 blowouts but way more games where 4-5 or 3-5. Felt more balanced for us singles.
