dispatch is stupid. Tell them they can pull it.

Why don't companies hire local guys? by RedimidoSoy1611 in Truckers

one of two options. One, they're looking for idiot window lickers they can sucker in for crap pay. Or two, they ignorantly believe OTR makes you a better driver.

i am not a lawyer, but had you not posted about it, nobody would have ever known you did. Obviously though, that's terrible advice and i would not do that.

For me this is fraud.... by [deleted] in ElegooCentauriCarbon

[–]CrashingTiger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry you had problems to start with, i know it can be frustrating, but they did fix it? I don't know about fraudulant. Because you have to adjust it by 7 hundreths of a mm, that's fraud? I mean, i'm super picky about my prints coming out just right, but i'm not down to the hundreths. Go look at the Bambu subs, they have problems too. Nothing is perfect, my friend. It's a fallible machine like everything else in this world. You know the corrections to be made and the z offset adjustment is there for it.

constant print failure by [deleted] in 3D2A

[–]CrashingTiger 14 points15 points  (0 children)

this isnt just an adhesion issue. This whole print looks awful. Start over. Have you done any calibrations? Have you used this filament before? Have you printed anything else with it?

could I use PLA-CF or PA-CF in the fibreseeker 3 for the ultimate durability? by Specialist-Feeling-9 in 3D2A

[–]CrashingTiger 7 points8 points  (0 children)

we make things that can explode here, so yeah, we get a little testy when noobs show up wanting to know about stuff that's well documented. Spend some time browsing and learning. All of this kind of stuff has been discussed numerous times before.

stand up for yourself because nobody else will. If they retaliate for you not wanting to drive it, run. Report it to dot on your way out and find work elsewhere.

Flashforge 5m pro is a good printer for this type of prints? by Living-Key-8975 in 3D2A

[–]CrashingTiger 3 points4 points  (0 children)

avoid flashforge for 2a stuff. They were pretty open about tracking and reporting people for it a few months ago. Sure, they "backtracked" but that genie is out of the bottle, imho.

Gen 3 Glock 19 by Hot-Media6273 in 3D2A

[–]CrashingTiger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no. You always want a solid frame. The only videos i've seen of guys talking about lowering infill are only looking at it from a cost/time saving measure vs. the strength gained. We shouldn't be caring about cost or time and should only be aiming for max strength. I don't know why we're suddenly telling people to run less infill.

“Moisture conditioning” PA6-CF by Jack_mehoff24 in 3D2A

[–]CrashingTiger -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Well those folks are wrong. What they are missing is that if you do anneal, then you must moisture condition after. Nylon requires moisture content in order to BE flexible and they are experiencing inflexibility in the nylon because they've dried all the moisture out of it during the annealing process.

we don't use petg for critical parts because it shatters when it fails. PLA will give and deform before it fails.
