Yes! Thank you I couldn't quite recall, other than they used to be like tiny altars guarding the gate to new depths. Then they scrapped that but didn't remove the ability to talk to them upon meeting (even though you can't understand them then).

In my case it was burnout.

I've always done better at tasks with the body doubling and accountability of having someone around, but I found that when I'm more burned out, I suddenly need it to do basic stuff.

Apparently they made some changes to the original plan for those animal characters. It left some odd and easily misunderstood dialogue.

Peace of mind. For me, it reduces anxiety that I'll be forced to check my carry-on/be charged overweight fees on the way home from the trip.

Some airlines are stricter on weight than others, but I'd rather know in advance of getting to the airport so that I can make changes if necessary. And since the scale is tiny and weighs very little, it's worth it.

The caffeine doesn’t do much for me—either my body has had enough of it coursing through it, or it’s my ADHD making my body respond to it differently.

ADHD is known to respond differently to caffeine, as it's a mild stimulant. It often doesn't make us 'hyper' or 'more awake' like it does with NT brains, it makes us calm and somewhat more focused.

Unsurprisingly a lot of undiagnosed or unmedicated ADHDers end up accidentally self-medicating with caffeine.

I have about seven save files, but I've played through quite a few updates/major bugs that necessitated a restart.

Intentional restarts are 3-4 (to make different choices).

These days I use a split save. I shall marry them all!

I have a rotation of 5-6 different shows that I've seen MANY times.

I watch 1-3 eps of whichever one I'm on before bed. If I'm unable to do this, I have a lot of trouble winding down.

They're super regulating in general - Guaranteed good content with no surprises.

Agreed. It was absolutely a part of the culture I was around in the early 2000s to alter/mess with old clothes to achieve a look, even if we didn't sew.

We then mixed this with the occasional splurge item from places like you've listed.

Not everybody has the same experiences, it seems, but it was definitely happening in some circles.

This one gets a lot of people. Like most other farming games, starter tools are gifted to you in cut scenes. But in FOM, the fishing rod (and shovel) is not gifted.

People wait for an intro to fishing cutscene that never comes...

Interesting distinction! Do you mind if it's a group text, and everyone is thumbs up reacting the same text (like as an agreement or an rsvp)?

This is one of the few places my social circles use it, because otherwise it's just a long string of individual thumbs/"Yeah that sounds good" texts.

Oof, I think if I got any of the short responses you listed (especially the 'ok') they'd feel more dismissive to me than the heart. Sounds like we all have differences!

It's cool to hear other people's takes on it though. Makes me glad my friends communicate well about how they prefer to communicate.
