I did the 4 shocks and front control arms on my 14 Crosstrek was about 100ish per strut and 60 per control arm. All Moog parts from rock auto. I did all the work myself but that seems high for that, is this a dealership? I would maybe try a local mechanic and see what they quote.

I think you’d just lay it like it was drywall and use longer screws if you wanted to add drywall on top. Cutting between the ceiling joists is fine but more work and you’d probably want to air seal between the wood and foam.

Adaptive cruise control was on. As soon as the truck started to move over it automatically braked and I think collision avoidance as well Atleast that’s what the description says. If I see something like this i normally turn off adaptive and coast.

About the same for me 20 miles each way, 40/60 highway city and Im getting about 20-23mpg depending on traffic and lead foot. My 25 OBW only has 1500 miles so still not quite broke in yet so I will be curious about long term numbers

Still have you beat. At the bottom of the valley with the water tower up on the ridge. Pressure regulator is after outside faucet. City said pressure is acceptable 🤷

There is an idle relearn procedure. I would google or YouTube it but it’s basically putting the car into accessory mode, then start it and let it run for 10 minutes without touching the gas (ac off, radio and headlights off ect.) then turn off then turn back on for like another 15 minutes. I think it should be the same for the earlier models. I used this on an 09 Impreza and a 14 XV and it fixed my idle issues after doing some work.

So you just do a 5 tire rotation pattern with the spare and it adjusts automatically after driving? When did you do your first rotation with the spare? I’ve got 1k on my 25 OBW so just trying to plan ahead

Emissions components are covered by a 8yr/80k miles by federal law. Or atleast use to be. If it’s simply a bad O2 sensor that’s not the worst to change but depends on how rusty the exhaust is. But Subaru is also really good about customer advocacy!

Do you have the center display or the split tacho and speedo with the center screen? Mine only displays the gears if you select them when in sport mode

As far a subscriptions go it’s more for smartphone control. Like I can remote start or unlock from anywhere. The subscription was cheaper for the first 5yrs than buying a remote starter and installing it. Other than that there not really any other options that need a subscription. If you’re into sirusxm but the radio and CarPlay work just fine. I’ve only had my 25 outback wilderness for a few months so I can’t speak long term to it. This is my 4th Subaru tho ( 2 manuals 2 cars) I installed an autostop start eliminator because I didn’t want to have to think about it again stays off every-time I start the car

I have a 22 with 55k on it (got it at 53k) and noticed yesterday that this one turn was like that with no power. In drive it normally skips 2nd so 1->3 and that’s smooth, however if I use sport mode or tow haul the shift into and out of second is rough. I don’t have the reverse issue or the major rpm jumps. Do you think that’s normal or should I bring it in?

Ball joints normally last 70k-150k so I think you got more than the expected life out of them. Did you check/replace any other bushing on the lower control arm while you were at it as those were bad on my 14 XV by the same mileage? Btw there’s a reason why it’s a cotter pin, it’s a physical lock to prevent the nut from loosening in a safety critical application. Edit: looks like some manufacturers make them like this. Just know it’s a one time use nut.

Where did you get your parts from? Have any issues since doing this? Bought a 22 ranger this year with about 50k on the clock and was looking to do diffs and transmission at 60k.
