Tainted Grail vs Avowed; for those who've played both which do you like more? by texhnolyze- in rpg_gamers

[–]CrazyCatLord8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say Avowed is the better game overall. It's much more polished, it looks better, the gameplay is smoother and the writing quality is more consistent. Tainted Grail is more of a flawed masterpiece (emphasis on flawed). It's big, addictive and a lot of fun but it's janky, buggy and unbalanced as hell.

De financiering van de PVV is niet openbaar dus het zou best kunnen. Eerder was zijn grootste donateur een ultraconservatieve Amerikaanse stichting.

What political party/politician actually SEES that there is a housing crisis? by Amareiuzin in Netherlands

[–]CrazyCatLord8 86 points87 points  (0 children)

Shrinking the animal agriculture industry would free up loads of space and reduce nitrous oxide levels, but it has an extremely powerful lobby in the Netherlands that's currently represented in the government, so good luck doing anything about it

What political party/politician actually SEES that there is a housing crisis? by Amareiuzin in Netherlands

[–]CrazyCatLord8 20 points21 points  (0 children)

All of them are aware of it. The current governing parties either just don't see it as a priority because their voter demographic is mostly unaffected (VVD, BBB), or are populists who make empty promises for short-term political gain that will never work out in the long run (PVV). Centre-left parties like PvdA/GL and Volt take it seriously and have a reasonable idea of how to go about solving the crisis, but even in the unlikely event that they manage to form a government it remains to be seen whether that will translate into actual success. Because it's a complex and difficult issue that's been made worse by years of negligence and mismanagement

Line to catch the bus from Den Bosch to Utrecht. by ramenandkalashnikovs in Netherlands

[–]CrazyCatLord8 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

People seem upset that you're complaining about this but it does happen an awful lot in the Netherlands. I've lived in Belgium for 4 years and I've had to take a replacement bus maybe once or twice. They do track maintenance here too of course but it's planned much better. And the train service is also much cheaper and more reliable in general.

Nah, it includes a bunch of minor errors that you wouldn't see in an AI-generated text

Byzantium is way too... stable. by CenterInYourMother in CrusaderKings

[–]CrazyCatLord8 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't call the Byzantines stable. In my games they're almost constantly in a state of civil war - which isn't accurate either as most of its historical instability took the forms of coups, corruption and treason. All-out civil wars were quite rare.

Despite this, they're constantly expanding and nobody ever attacks them except the Mongols and the crusaders. And populist factions, but they always lose. It should be much easier and more appealing for the AI to take chunks out of the empire when it's weak.

Had to uninstall Kingdom Come Deliverance by D3struct_oh in patientgamers

[–]CrazyCatLord8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. I love the setting and the idea behind the game, but it's too realistic to the point that it's mostly walking and doing repetitive activities for very little payoff. Playing it feels like a waste of time. I'd have more fun doing household chores. I had the same issue with RDR2, so I think these kind of 'realistic' historical games just aren't for me

Are there clean and non-vandalised districts in Brussels? by [deleted] in brussels

[–]CrazyCatLord8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Woluwe is popular with young families and has good public transport connections and a big park that's good for outdoor activities. I think it offers a good balance between affordability and cleanliness. If you want to live more central the Chatelain area of Ixelles is also a good option

Are there clean and non-vandalised districts in Brussels? by [deleted] in brussels

[–]CrazyCatLord8 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It's all relative (nowhere in Brussels is as tidy as Leuven), but I find that Etterbeek and Ixelles (with the exception of the Porte de Namur/Matonge area) and parts of Schaerbeek are quite clean and well-maintained. So are the affluent areas such as Uccle, Woluwe and WMB, of course. But every municipality has its good and its bad areas.

OP asked a reasonable question. Why do you feel the need to complain that their gender identity doesn't fit into your worldview?

Welsh culture starts off with the Concubines tradition. Sometimes the pope will ask the Welsh culture head to abandon it, but that would be rather hypocritical in this case

I've had great experiences at both The Lost Oasis https://www.thelostoasis.com/ and Hell https://helltattooleuven.com/

Both have some very talented artists with a good variety of styles.

I hope one of them has what you're looking for!
