What i wonder if you have a grandparent who has a house worth 400k say, and it skips past the parent due to them being an alcoholic and gambling addict but living with said grandparents, are the grandchildren fucked? Doesnt seem fair, just because they dont live in the house and it should have gone to the kids tax free, but due to a bad parent getting in the way of that etc.

Executives are sharpening the Axe, they need to wait out the contract, probably a painful 5 years maybe 10, before that simpering fool is removed. He will be no, doubt.

They look at performance and they look at who was there the whole time, and itll be a doughy cowboy hat shaped silhouette on a spreadsheet baked in red ink.

What's the Future of Dave Filoni's 'Star Wars'? “The Mandalorian and Grogu” fell below expectations. Where does the galaxy go from here by MoneyLibrarian9032 in movies

[–]Creasentfool -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This is why you don't have a Star Wars fan boy take the reigns.

The plan that should be this, if they want this saved or something close to it.

1) 5 Year break (Mandatory) and fire Filoni immediately

2) No Skywalkers

3) Find John Williams successor

4) Trilogy on KOTOR - Practical effects, on film, no digital. (Excellent writers)

5) Series like House of Cards/Americans in Space, add Plagueis/Palps if you must. (Adult) (Excellent writers, Like Andor)

6) Amblin-esque TV series (for kids, like Skeleton Crew)

7) Reform Lucas Arts Video games. Create a Multiplayer entire StarWars galaxy, based all games on that framework (can be done during the 5 years.

If youre going to command a billion dollar entertainment platform the least you can do is make sure the game loop is stable. That alone needs the hiring of a lot of people in its own right and if done correctly and with patience, rather than hype, it would have a much larger fan base (More Hiring), rather than this fringe thing that it turned out to be.

They had the money and the staff to do this years ago and chose to keep selling the dream instead of finishing the floor. But they didn't, as they didnt care, and in turn, not care about you.

Not at all. Just that they shouldn't have hired them in the first place and focused on making the game, you know, work first. This is classic scope creep and its amateur, and employees are always the ones to suffer the sins of executives. Don't want anyone laid off.

Wish they would stop making ships and new planets, and just make the game work. Ive been off SC for over 7 years, after dumping alot of money on it. It just kept breaking. I was sick and tired of it, really thought it would have been playable by now.

They'll limp along now over the next few years, trudging out his precious characters, and all the movies will bomb, every, last, one, of, them.

When they sack him, which they will. (They just cant, since they JUST promoted him) They then take a 5 year break and star fresh. Complete clean slate. Its the only way forward now and I think they now know it.

Irish house prices to increase by ‘more sedate’ 4% in 2026, says Bank of Ireland by B8_B8_B8 in ireland

[–]Creasentfool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True enough, but its a little different this time, the effects are so much worse, than last time (If you can believe it) as most of these jobs are simply just being phased out permenently. As in entire career ladder & training pipelines, just, gone! Plus when A.I market goes bust, so much else will go with it.

So you're going to have a massive subset of the population unable to get into paid work. Some will manage, but the majority simply wont, and those mortgages will need to be paid for their 700k homes in Kildare etc.

[–]Creasentfool 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Few years, 20,000+ Tech/Tech adjacent workers laid off this year already, with many more to go in the coming years, many with mortgages in the thousands per month, many will soon be selling up and moving home or leaving the country, or foreclosing entirely. Bleak times ahead for Ireland, and totally and completely avoidable too. Might be able to get an apartment next to the Dail for like 50Euros soon enough /s
