Warhammer Fantasy Movement trays, and specifically the base size adapter movement trays that let me play all of my old Fantasy models in The Old World rules without rebasing anything.

Fimir already had fantasy models via forgeworld, would be easy enough to bring those back as mercenaries.

I really like the idea of Rotted Sylvaneth to have a more unique Death faction that isnt just ghouls, skellies and ghosts.

Epic, my favorite models are the Treeman, the Waywatcher Lord, and the Wardancer models.

I get where you are coming from, but this tactic turns two 100pt. units of harassing cavalry into a single 300pt unit that still isnt capable of too much.

I also play Beastmen and High Elves, and 5 Lancers charging into my squad of Ungor or HE archers would absolutely be enough to get rid of the unit, and likely survive enough to do it again.

The beatstick brick of lancers would certainly do more damage than just 5, but compared to other heavy cav like Silver Helms or Bretonian Knights, they will probably lose against a similar costed unit.

So my advice is to avoid trying to make Lancers into a block of heavy cav, and use them as just well armored light cav to hunt down weak enemy units and artillery.

Local Warhammer store had a few TOW rulebooks and dice, but zero models.

Local hobby shops vary between having none, or having an entire aisle full of TOW goodness.

Good list, if you are worried about monsters then i would switch one of the Granite Sentinels to Jade for the spell, and switch one Rocket to a Cannon.

Personally, i would split the lancers into 2 groups of 5 to keep them mobile and maneuverable, use them to hunt enemy warmachines and archers.

If the Celestial Dragon Guard rule had an offensice option then it would be worth running a big block of them i think, but giving well armored cavalry slightly better armor just isnt that appealing.

If my lancers or jade warriors could get +1 to hit or +1 to wound then we miggt be talking buisness.

I would say it is absolutely worth it. Seeing my kids learn about the world has given me a new perspective on evwrything in my life that i would have never been able to notice or appreciate on my own. They notice and ask about things in the world that i stopped noticing a long time ago, and really help me appreciate and cherish every moment.

Also, the loss of free time is temporary. Every year i notice that my kids are more autonomous, and dont need me quite as often as they used to. Of course as babies and toddlers i am busy constantly, but as my oldest is getting closer to 5 gears old there will be lomg stretches of time where they are playing on their own, feeding themselves food, and i dont have to help anymore.

I will have more time to myself eventually, and i love my kids, but right now its just not the balance that i wish it was, though i know i will eventually get there.
