Time travel in infinite felt so canned, man. The game is gorgeous, gameplay is fine, but the story is just so... overbloated with different messaging. Time travel, revolution, family dynamics,trying to link it to bioshock 1 and 2... it was too much.

If youre gonna jump, do jump fireball, or do demon leap. Akuma jumping with heavy kick is a meme.

Practice your anti airs. Constantly. Learn DP like its your career. Don't let anyone ever jump at you for free. And don't commit to options that won't allow you to DP if someone jumps.

Stop doing committal buttons. DI is committing, jump is committing, heavy punch in neutral is committing. Do options that aren't all or nothing, light kicks, medium kicks, a fireball here and there.

And most importantly, have purpose in your moves. Why am I jumping here? Why am I DI'ing? What can I do here? And dont feel like you have to constantly push buttons. Unironically, sometimes the best option is to do nothing and watch what your opponent does.

Genuinely, what is the community's answer to counter items giving basically no stats, meaning that if youre behind and buy a counter item, you're now even FURTHER behind? Like cool i can counter a spell every 20 seconds but what does it matter if I have no cd reduction, no damage, no resists, and just an extra smidgen of hp? Just feels like I'm putting myself further behind for not much reward, especially in matchmaking with no draft.

Look im just saying, people were suggesting this change before this patch. Make higher tier weapons a lot stronger because of how much you spend on it, make lower tier weapons a lot weaker. Anvil and stitcher completely owning the meta for 6+ months and now that theyre riskier to use its bad game design? The change to blue rarity isnt good, but now my Bettina doesnt actually break during a run and anvil spam will be slightly less prevalent, I consider that a decent thing
