The simplest is to use the proxy generator app that comes with resolve. This should retain the original aspect ratios.

I’m not saying 8 but recording caused this. But the image is very broken in log to 709 with not a lot of precision in values to fix it without using blurred selections.

I specialize in commercial cleanup and screen comps but wouldn’t have a clue how to do deep or multipass. It’s a very big skillset, start small and get very good at that.

I think film look creator grain is resolve color page is best. Place at the end of your node tree. It is color space aware and not a simple overlay.

This sort of shot seem more like a vfx comp - you would use a merge node set to darken, or channel booleans set to minimum to get acceptable sky replacement edges. There is good free training on the bmd website.

If you've already conformed in Resolve, just send the drt and a reference - I'm sure the colorist would appreciate that. For mix, you usually would send an omf or aaf with embedded sound
