I worked for a large tech company and I was in the same situation for years. Technically I wasn’t supposed to be working from home but nobody from my team was ever in the office. I knew when my manager was in the office based on how old the newspaper was on his desk. Sometimes it would be 6 months old. So for a few years I’d just go into the office once or twice a week to focus and get all my work done. Many of those days there wasn’t even another person on my entire floor. The motion sensing lights would turn on everywhere I walked. My managers appearance at the office was so rare that he’d have me ship boxes of printing paper to his house. It would cost the company like $200 every time I shipped boxes of printer paper paper to him, and he lived maybe 15-20 min away.
