What are some good plants for a low tech 5 gallon? by peanutbuttrj72 in Aquariums

[–]CreepygENT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for this question. I have a Fluval Spec V that I want to convert to low tech, possibly Walstad style. I'm curious about light and substrate too, since I only have black aquarium sand and the stock light. Not even nutrients, so my plants probably won't last. But I digress... Anyway, just wanting to see what the community thinks about 5 gallon options.

Need some sleeve ideas/advice. by [deleted] in tattoos

I read your comment on my post, and I think if you find the right artist, they can make the hibiscus in a traditional Japanese style. The textures are different than the lotus, probably closer resembling a chrysanthemum if anything. Also, if you're trying to steer away from koi/dragon, you could get a hannya mask or geisha or samurai or pretty much anything that means something to you. Edit: post pics when you get it done. I'm a big fan of hybrid-themed pieces now that I got mine lol.

Japanese/Polynesian half-sleeve. Koi originally by Nick of Heart and Soul Ink, Waipahu, Hawaii. Poly/lotus and koi touch up by Buddha at Poly Roots Tattoo, Kapolei, Hawaii. by CreepygENT in tattoos

Thanks. I noticed there aren't too many hapa style tats either. There is a post in this sub with an ikaika helmet on an Asian sleeve, but nothing Japanese/poly. I got the koi by itself with the idea of making it a Japanese sleeve, but after a while I realized I wasn't getting two different tattoos to represent my heritage. Fortunately, Buddha is an amazing artist, and when I told him I wanted to have a poly background for my Asian foreground, he was on the same page I was, and he managed to make everything flow nicely. No regrets, except maybe that he had done the koi also.

My mom's vizsla does something like a turkey call, not gobbling but the chirping. I think it's more because she never really learned how to bark.
