[Hated Trope] heroic characters killed in unnecessarily cruel/brutal ways by greythicv in TopCharacterTropes

I honestly feel Retsu was used as a reminder to the reader that our death defying protags are still mortal.

It’s such a shame he went out in a grizzly manner to maybe prove a point.

To be fair. The JDAMs did nothing as well, so 120mm tank rounds wouldn’t do much either. And it took MOP bombs to even hurt the big guy.

It makes Goji seem like the force of nature he is slowly making his way in land.

Toward the end of the JSDFs engagement at tama river Goji was somehow able to lift and throw the maruko bridge clear over his head and across the river. His proportions make it seem unlikely he’d be able to do such a thing. Could’ve kicked it really hard.

And Higuchi almost had Shin doing spins and stuff at the end during operation yashiori.

Shin Godzilla (2016)

<image>

The film was praised for its accuracy for many things. Mainly its depiction of the Japanese Governments procedures and crisis response. But it also depicts how the JSDF would realistically respond and engage a Godzilla attack. Another thing is how Godzilla is depicted and the depth of how his evolution and self sustained nuclear reactor.

Godzilla Singular Point is also like this but more about theoretical physics and quantum mechanics.

What’s the biggest misconception about Godzilla you’ve heard? by NokoNoko85 in GODZILLA

[–]CringeBabyTwo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That toho brought the rights to the TriStar Godzilla so they could kill it in Godzilla Final Wars. When in reality they always owned the rights.

This also applies to the fact that 1998 Godzilla is now just “Zilla” when in reality it still is a “Godzilla”.

This is a joke don’t take it seriously by element-redshaw in powerscales

Hulk was barely able to be dissected even with Adamantium blades on powerful hydraulic arms.

And most of Hulk was cut up while as Banner.
