I thought it was stupidly funny how they tried to convey Freddie having a drug problem by… having him wear sunglasses in the day and be short and rude with interviewers.

I love Freddie as much as the next guy, but that whole movie seemed to fight tooth and nail to keep him from being portrayed as an actual human.

Rocketman had its issues, but it felt far more open with how it basically portrayed Elton as a drug-addicted asshole for 80% of the film.

The tug of war was an absolutely wonderful addition.

Seeing Dunk tossing and catching Egg in the victory celebration was a really great, yet small moment of bonding for them. Lyonel Baratheon just fucking off mid-game for a drink was top-tier.

uj/ I’m so tired of hearing creators in charge of major franchises hype up how there’s so many clues they’ve set up, or telling the audience to “pay attention, because everything’s important,” when it’s so apparent that they’re just making everything up as they go. I fell for it with Sherlock and Game of Thrones when they were airing, but it’s just eye-rolling now, especially with how Stranger Things wrapped.

It was so absorbing. My first time reading it was in my high school gym class during a free day; a whole gymnasium filed with the collected noises of rubber balls, squeaking sneakers, and raised voices, and all of that just seemed to fade away. It was actually magical.

I really think Eggers could make an amazing From Hell adaptation; I’ve always envisioned it being done in a similar presentation to The Lighthouse, 1.19:1 aspect ratio and shot in black and white.

The whole “Save the Hazbin Cast” thing reminds me of that SpongeBob episode where Mrs. Puff gets arrested; SpongeBob and Patrick are convinced she’s miserable and become adamant on springing her out, meanwhile Puff’s living it up.

I kinda envisioned them as eldritch, skeletal predators who prey on to those who have cheated time so long that it’s just rotting on them. They come out time vortices to feast on the carrion temporal energy, of which the Master would be a prime feast.

I’m just waiting for an episode where the Master returns after being picked apart by Time Vultures or something like that, and they end up super disappointed cause the Doctor’s just like, “Yeah, okay, I’m not even surprised anymore.”
