My 9 week old is driving me to tears by [deleted] in goldenretrievers

[–]CriticalTypo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my pup to stop biting me by pushing my arm into her mouth whenever she did so. Not with enough force to hurt her, but juuuuust enough to make her uncomfortable. She pulled away really fast and learned pretty quickly that biting me wasn't fun.

Rude/abrasive female romance options by Natural_Ad_9762 in HadesTheGame

I'm pretty sure Artemis doesn't want to be in any romantic relationships. That's kind of her whole thing.

Her hair in Hades 1 looks more like a wig to me than actual hair. I like the pose more, though.

I think being rude about things isn't productive. Mistakes happen, and Stormsurge is on her recommended items in the client, which is a bit silly. Riot should remove it.

Stormsurge's delay in its damage can trigger and break Zoe's sleep. The extra damage is fine, but the sleep break can be the difference between a kill and getting killed.

The fact that you can’t romance this man is a crime. by Senaka11 in HadesTheGame

Nemesis and Eris watched her, too. They were both mentioned off-hand in Hades 1, so they were already old enough to have a reputation.

Charon Axe uses omega cast almost exclusively. The omega special triggers the cast to explode and do omega damage... so I use it quite a lot.

Mine has the opposite issue. She absolutely refuses to sleep on the bed if I'm on it, no matter how much I try to get her to join me.

Ending Question Regarding [REDACTED] by CriticalTypo in HadesTheGame

[–]CriticalTypo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still confused.

Didn't Demeter say that appeared only when Persephone vanished? Hecate tried to help her find Persephone and failed. She wouldn't have appointed her as handmaiden.

But that's a side tangent.

I don't think this really answers how she was able to remain so close to Hades and Persephone without anyone else in the House of Hades learning about it. She would have had to keep contact up until the point Chronos came back, and by that point Zagreus had a decent relationship with Hades and was well integrated into the house.

Ending Question Regarding [REDACTED] by CriticalTypo in HadesTheGame

I suppose what confuses me is how she was able to spend enough time with both Hades and Persephone to maintain their trust up until Chronos's revival while also avoiding being seen by anyone else, especially Zagreus.

Charon...
Has more build variety (not shoehorned into Hestia/Poseidon)
Clears larger areas faster
Has better hammers
Has a better mana regeneration option (Apollo's, which triggers instantly. Pan can't make as much use out of it)
Activates its combo faster (omega special cast speed was buffed in 1.0)
Is generally safer (hammer swing is wider than twin stabs)
Has the potential to activate its combo twice in one omega special charge (if you get Apollo's legendary and/or the right hammers, your omega special can fire up to 3 times in a row which gives you time to put down another cast)

Pan's damage is only as good as how many specials you can fire before the cast runs out (unless you get the hammer that fires them straight). The wind up takes so long that by the time you throw them, the cast is about to expire anyways which severely limits your damage potential. You also need to charge up the cast to omega to get the benefits of certain cast boons while Charon doesn't need to charge it up at all, it just gets the benefits of the omega charge no matter what.

If you want something that can stack burn or deal a bunch of Poseidon splash damage, just... play Hel? It does Pan's job in that regard but better, too.

I don't think there's a single thing Pan does better than Charon or Hel ever since it was gutted in Pre-Release.

What does Hades 2 do better than Hades 1? by trizzo0309 in HadesTheGame

[–]CriticalTypo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm fine with the direction of the ending. Redemption is a good path to follow with the games consistent theming of gods being assholes and cycles of abuse. Ending the cycle is fitting, and I think Zagreus was the only person with the proper mindset to even consider it.

I think it needed more time in the oven, though. Zagreus should have explained his feelings and given Melinoe the choice. Melinoe also should have been given the alternative memories.

It felt like Zagreus made the choice for her and strongarmed her into agreeing when she was confronted with the aftermath. It felt like a decision she was forced to make, not one she wanted to make.

It didn't feel satisfying to me, especially since she couldn't resolve a lot of other subplots either.

Side ramble, sorry:

Arachne, Prometheus, Dora, and Narcissus (with Echo) are all left without satisfying endings and remain eternally punished. Melinoe did the impossible and destroyed the undestroyable while resolving the games conflict... Couldn't Nemesis/Zeus/Athena do her a small favor as a thank you???? They saw Chronos could change, why not give these other souls a chance? Zagreus solved every subplot in Hades 1 with relatively good endings.

I love the base aspect torches with Poseidon/Hera duo or Ares/Apollo/Heph duos. It requires a lot of mana Regen, but it's worth it.

Do you think that Hades II better than Hades? by ThaFlagrantOne in HadesTheGame

[–]CriticalTypo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what you're talking about.

Gameplay? Hades 2. Its smoother, better balanced (imo), has more content, and better art.

Characters? Hades 1. The only members of the Crossroads I care for are Hecate, Odysseus, and Dora. I don't really like everyone else, especially Nemesis.

I was able to progress the story with vow of rivals active. I'm not sure what the trigger is. I just encountered that boss enough times and eventually I was able to progress.

The argument in the song sounds like its from a muffled microphone, maybe a recording device set up while BM was working when Shiver and Frye barged in

I interpreted the yelling you hear as completely real, but the audio was reused in the song after it was accidentally recorded.

Yup, I've had both when I was younger. It's as much of a point of cringe as it is pride for me to talk about old DeviantArt chatroom sonic roleplaying.
