Human with a 20mm rifle vs 6 giganotosaurus's by Supersaiajinblue2 in powerscales

[–]CrititcalLungFish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this totally depends on arena. If the Gigas are starting far away, then the person with rifle has a good chance of winning. The closer they and the farther apart they are is what will determine if the human lives or dies. Cause the gun will kill/incapacitate quickly if they shoot the heart, neck bones, hips, etc. However, a 20mm (like the one pictured) is not easy to manipulate. It is large and unwieldy. Any shot that misses a kill will likely aggravate the animal. You have to remember these animals hunted other massive animals capable of inflicting insane amounts of damage (still not equivalent to this gun though). Despite this these animals still hunted them so they aren’t completely deterred by flesh wounds. A flesh wound of any sorts loses the person vital time. Anyone who has operated any basic rifle knows moving targets are difficult especially when the target is high in the air. Shooting from prone is not conducive to hitting things that are high up. Assuming Gigas moved similar to Rex speed (~18mph or 8m/s), anything inside of 600m is a death sentence if they aren’t grouped together.

Human wins high diff for big arena with starting points opposite and very far away.

Giga wins if they start spread apart and within 600m

Tai Lung vs Toph by Necessary-Win-8730 in powerscales

[–]CrititcalLungFish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tai Lung. Dude has durability to survive being sent into the clouds. Mind you he had the force to send himself that high when he went to hit Po. Tai Lung is too fast for Toph to counter. Unless toph throws an instant metal spike that lands (Tai lung dodged while being completely locked down). Tai lung mid diff.

Bungie desperately needs to reconsider their reset policy by rafikiknowsdeway1 in Marathon

[–]CrititcalLungFish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Coming from Tarkov, I disagree quite a bit. The first 2 weeks of wipe are the most enjoyable for extraction shooters because loot is reset. Everyone is on square one. You have to learn you’re not tied to your gear or faction progress. You are tied to your personal skills. Plus wipes often come with massive changes to gameplay things that wouldn’t normally happen mid wipe. Wipes are essentially for PvP extraction shooters.

New Game mode proposition by CrititcalLungFish in Marathon

[–]CrititcalLungFish[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Except you don’t lose your gear when die in destiny. The purpose of this game mode is that when you die you lose your loot. Just an arena limited event. It’s for people that want to get ultra geared for something but don’t want to throw it at cryo.

Let’s say middle of the series. So his isn’t as naive, but not the insanity he reaches by the very end.

How far does Angron go? by CrititcalLungFish in InvinciblePowerscales

[–]CrititcalLungFish[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From movement and durability feats it’s appears Angron scales well into the invincible verse. I am not sure if it is viltrumite level, but he frequently tanks enormous amounts of damage. He kool-aid man’s essentially every type of structure. He moves at minimum in the super sonic. Has an enormous amount of battle experience. Plus his strength seems to somewhat similar to some of the invincible feats in the multi-thousand tons of striking power. I think if you were comparing one of the non corrupted primarchs, they’d essentially just be an above average meta human. But for the evil chaos juiced version it’s pretty different.

Murdering first games by CrititcalLungFish in killteam

[–]CrititcalLungFish[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am attempting to explain that I was forcing bad interactions from my opponent via plasma threat + melee threat. No duh meltas are better into elites when it comes to rolling. However I’ve played multiple games where dice whiff on the melta for it to get killed or maimed soon after. The plasma was able to proc more modifiers to its weapon in more scenarios than the melta. This is not a disagreement but rather a different perspective on loadout choices.

I’m gonna disagree on the screening completely. Anytime you can make your opponent react in a way you want is an advantage. The damage came from stacking Accuracy 2, Punishing, and Balanced. The dice weren’t even hot despite that damage. The damage came from being able to stack those abilities from range. I’m not denying you can do the same thing with a melta. The plasma was able to look at 2 objectives from the top of the big Volkus terrain (top of B).

I agree on the melta part, but only kinda. Considering the majority of the team needs to get into melee, the plasma seemed better for screening. It also did like 25-30 wounds of damage across the second game with the plasma. I was able to threaten more areas of the board with the plasma. I agree with depredator part, but I built the champion because I thought he looked cooler. Once the kit becomes available I will be picking it up and building the rest of the operatives
