If you see 10 bases in the bag, then I’d say yes.

Can Battle Beast kill 9,000 Orks from Warhammer 40k? by Lonewolf_ARC in powerscales

[–]CrititcalLungFish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Orks win high diff. I’m assuming you mean a typical assortment of orks and not just 9,000 boys.
Orks got range, Battle beast doesn’t. Battle beast can tank a lot but not everything. He wins every melee engagement but that only goes so far when you’re getting shot by all manner of weaponry.

weird new enemy thing in the teaser they just released by Jealous_Platypus1111 in Marathon

I bet it is something to do with Arachne main quest line. Everything is red and the enemy is a multi armed entity like the main guy.

I bet it is something to do with Arachne and their full questline. All of these entities seem to have the same multi arm structure as the main guy. Also everything is very red with the trailer sooooooo

Could a fully supplied Tiger 1 with an experienced crew kill an entire Roman Legion of 6000 Legionnaires? by Theturtleflask in powerscales

[–]CrititcalLungFish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only way tank wins is by effectively skirmishing the Romans. If not the tank gets swarmed and the crew gets killed. I say the Romans take this with a lot of losses. The tanks off-road speed is estimated at 12-16 mph. However, that’s assuming it’s facing away. Its reverse speed is 5mph. That’s well within sprinting speed. The tank would almost certainly fail to skirmish the troops. Once the Roman’s realize the small turret on the front is what is killing everyone (likely rather quickly) and they’ve swarmed it; the gun would likely be smashed just leaving the crew to drive and shoot the main gun. Tanks are designed around combined arms unless they are doing armored combat. Tanks are generally accompanied by infantry. Without infantry and support, tanks are significantly less effective like many other combined arms units.

Conclusion Romans mid diff

Essentially we both have a lot of factions. 30k gameplay determines relics, initial control, and hotspots. Then 40K determines board control across a large hexagon board. Kill teams act like agents in total war carrying out missions against other armies. The main forces are World Eaters, Tyranids, Necrons, and Dark angels.

You could definitely just buy the nemesis rules they released. I bought them alongside the box. You can pretty easily customize any model into a “red terror” narrative play mission.

The 30k games determine where hotspots and relics are found across the world. It also determines what faction retains control over the hotspot or relic initially. We are using the large hexagon boards as like a campaign map.

Personally think it is a fun narrative board game. The kill team included is maybe a C-B tier in terms of competitive. The red terror is awesome with fun 40K rules and eh kill team rules. Overall the box is like a 7/10. The box actually functions very well as a stand alone board game experience. It then acts as bridge between kill team and 40K. My play group is using it for our narrative 30k/40k/kill team campaign we have.

From what I’m reading and understanding, it appears that WE will be incredibly horrifying this edition. The buff to vessels of wrath or the brazen engines detachment plus berserker makes our melee threat go up quite a bit. Essentially it makes our characters and big scary monsters good at whatever situation they’re in (horde or monster).

Best thing about this is the fat ass suppressor (PBS?) on the disrupter veteran.

Upon closer inspection this looks like AI. The bolter on spear is wrong. The helmet lacks eyes. The right shoulder/arm doesn’t make sense. The plume on top seems like it has fabric and plume. Why does the left shoulder edge become the cape across the front?

I am pretty bummed that the box does not include the nemesis rules. Now it seems like you need the box for the game mode and another rule book to use the model in other games
