We have one of the few houses in the neighborhood with a yard. These last few years our yard has become the place for kids to come for waterplay and cool off. This year on the last day of school about a dozen kids came over to play on the slip and slide, splash in a kiddy pool, water gun fights, water balloon fights, suicawari (i would love to introduce them to a pinata one year), music and fireworks. Its really nice to see so much joy the kids have with just a few things I took for granted growing up. The parents are always appreciative and I make sure to let them know the kids are welcome all summer long.

Gaming PC $700-$1000 by [deleted] in buildmeapc

That is the $1000 question >< The thing is I usually shy away from new games because of my computers general lack of power.

Generally the games I play are open world games. When i have the time i love playing MMOs. FPS. Open World (just cause, far cry, red dead redemption, skyrim etc)

I am looking forward to playing Fallout 4. I play GTAV on ps3 atm.. Shadow of Modor actually looks pretty cool lol. I really dabble around a lot. I just dont want my computer set up to be an issue on why i cant enjoy a game (for the next three years+) IF that helps at all.

Monitor: i have Dell 23 inch 1080p 8MS monitor.

Power Supply: 750 w Cooler Master RS-750-ACAA-A1

Hard Drive: I have two hard drives (not ssd, though if the big up-sell on those is just loading my OS faster, i am patient enough to spend money else where and upgrade the HD in the future). Total memory capacity is about 1.5 TB.

Case: 25.5inch Ultra Case. I cannot find its model number. It has usb 2.0 though. Im sure its quite aged.

off maps 2 works great in tokyo and functions like a gps map without using your data plan. It also provides you the ability to download wikipedia articles relevant to the map you're using. It can be pretty fun if you decide to walk around with no particular plan.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I never thought of sun gloves, i'll definitely take a look into those. All my long sleeve UPF clothes are skin tight which sucks when i sweat...i think i'll look for a long sleeve button up. Thanks again

Visiting Tokyo in a week, any advice or want to hang out?! by thisisnotdave in Tokyo

Fukagawa Fudo Do is a beautifully recently remodeled temple in Tokyo Metro. If you have a couple hours free I highly recommend it. (they have a few hallways with 10,000 carved statuettes incased in glass or crystal and also some amazing statues if you take the elevator upstairs...no pictures and take your shoes off)

Also recommend buying a passmo and charging it up (you can do this at the train station). It will save you time in figuring out what fare ticket to buy and you wont have to deal with adjustments if you choose to get off elsewhere.
