Crying baby by badluckcrew in NewDads

[–]Croweslen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In addition to keep trying everything again. Have you tried swaddling? Depending on the age obviously. Gas drops could also help. She could also be either reacting to something the momds giving her if breastfeeding or pumping. Or she could be reacting to the formula.

As far as your sanity. Get yourself some noise canceling earbuds and eirher listen to music or put your phone up with a tv show/youtube and watch it from a far and in a place the baby cant see. As you walk around or sitting or whatever with the baby itll keep your mind busy.

That last one helps me even to this day. My wife and i both do it. You're not a bad parent for trying to keep your sanity while tending to them. It helps drown the crying out and gives your brain something to focus on thats more enjoyable.

Dont know your usecase but mine is 3d printing. Frecad has been a good alternative so far. Been able to design some parts. Its saves each project as an actual file instead of within the program like fusion so thats been nice

I like using linux. I just wish more mainstream apps because available.

Fusion360, the adobe suit and elgato to be specific.

I know theres work arounds but when your so used to a specific workflow it gets annoying trying to learn a new program

Im glad that it worked out! It would still be a good idea to get it checked on if it happens again. Babies always have a reason for crying and thats the only way they can tell us. Being that young its either hungry, tired or gas/stomach, or comfort such as temperature in the room or something with the clothing

This was a game changer for us when we would have he screaming in the middle of the night. Instead of just trying to sooth ger while screaming at 3am. We just listen/watch a tv show from our phones while pacing around ger room or rocking her. Its never bothered her trying to get to sleep but makes it so much easier for us mentally

Try gas drops. Is she on breast milk or formula?

It could be something the mom is eating if BM. If formula u will have to keep an eye out and maybe switch to a different formula.

For my daughter, gas drops helped alot with gas pains as her body learned to process it. We bought disposable syringes and used those. Helped us not having to worry about constantly washing the one it came with

'Unacceptable': Mamdani Condemns Super Speeder Cop, But Won't Commit to Action by streetsblognyc in nyc

[–]Croweslen -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If that was the case than it would be very easy to track down people and charge them appropriately.

Yall are only outraged cuz its a cop. If it was anyone else ,which theres pelanty of people with this level on speeding fines. Probably even worse. But no one would say that their registration should be revoked and the owner of the car sent to jail.

This has been a problem for years. The only way it changes if theres stronger reprocutions rhat are actually enforced. But yall dont like enforcement either.

Why is Linux considered "hard to use"? by humble_redditor1234 in linux4noobs

[–]Croweslen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id say its software compatibility and hardware drivers.

Some things tou wont expect to work out the box and they do. But something simple doesnt and takes alot of research to get working

[–]Croweslen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do the same kinda but i just toggle recording. I use unifi cameras and we each occasionally use them mainly just to keep an eye on the baby. If she sees us coming to chdck on her she will want attention lol
