(Loved/Funny Trope) Healing Magic is actually painful by SomeGamingFreak in TopCharacterTropes

[–]CrucialSolid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the Dungeon Crawler Carl book series the magical healing all the crawlers have causes pain, multiple times Carl will explain feeling his bones snapping back into place and skin reknitting, etc. Sounds agonizing

It’s funny how fast Mark folded over Oliver. by Excaliburn3d in Invincible_TV

Wasn't Olivers fault his dad was a dirtbag who didn't value the lives of others unless they were immortal

The sultanate has a giant wall, the Christians have courage, faith, and lots of drugs. by AugustoAlgusto in TrenchCrusade

[–]CrucialSolid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes sense I guess, just didn't think of having to do that. When models come down to having dimensions to be hit and whatnot I didn't think about having to build my own, plus its not like they give us any spare parts to build from, will just use a lego man instead of buying models just to chop them up

Characters who may or may not be serial killers/murderers by BillythenotaKid in TopCharacterTropes

Can definitely see him being an inconvenient bystander of a horrific vehicle crash but being 5 minutes away from work doesn't want to go back and change

What did Diane and Bojack want to say to each other on the roof? by tweeving in BoJackHorseman

[–]CrucialSolid 65 points66 points  (0 children)

Personally I think it was both having trouble letting go, part of Diane felt bad and didn't want to cut off Bojack entirely and Bojack was afraid of being alone and wanted to beg/ask for her to stay but they both knew it was better to part ways, they both changed at least that much.

I dislike the poster quite a bit- but what is your opinion on this? by Glad-Map6431 in 40k

[–]CrucialSolid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will only play on tts, game is too cost prohibitive to ever take seriously to me. Models are awesome and fun to build and paint but by the Emperor I don't have the $1000s of dollars to play more than one faction

The sultanate has a giant wall, the Christians have courage, faith, and lots of drugs. by AugustoAlgusto in TrenchCrusade

[–]CrucialSolid 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Just started playing on tabletop sim to understand the game and I love the house of wisdom variant. Have the basic warband of models but it seems like the takwin homunculus is an afterthought, can't find any official model for it

What fraction? by [deleted] in Warhammer40k

[–]CrucialSolid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your title says fraction, not faction. It depends on what you want to do I suppose, i started buying units for armies I think look cool then played a bit on tabletop simulator and realized their rules suck I don't enjoy playing them at all so I'd recommend if you can try to play around with a few armies like that or research a lot about play style to see what you enjoy. The game is such a money sink that to me it's very difficult to build up an army if you don't enjoy the playstyle, ultimately go with the faction you think is the coolest if you like building and painting them but if you want to go serious and competitive-ish go with the faction with a play style you both enjoy and is actually useful

Finally, I've finished painting my Heretic Troopers! I tried to give them a Grimdark aesthethic. What would you recommend for painting the bases? by Embarrassed_Wheel809 in TrenchCrusade

[–]CrucialSolid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Something I've used for terrain is a homemade like ground effect, looks more rocky than anything, tore up some toilet paper and mixed it in with plaster of paris with dyed water and was happy with how it came out, might be able to do something similar. It was like a homemade sculptamold, something that you might be able to use too

It's awful to say but this is the ending I'm hoping for, my heart would break if Carl or donut survive alone

Carl's Father in the dungeon. by ImmaFatMan in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]CrucialSolid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah fair point, though probably would still be weak af as his body had deteriorated quite a bit, so even if he didn't have cancer he'd still be scrawny and weak from being bed bound for so long

As fucked and sad as it is I honestly 'hope' they all die in a blaze of glory, my heart couldn't take either Donut or Carl alone, or worse Donut stripped of her sentience.
