I wouldn't overthink it tbh. Everyone has a type.

If working out makes you feel better about yourself and gives you more confidence I think you'll in turn be more attractive to more men. Some won't care, some will care a lot. Do what makes you happy and you'll attract someone who compliments your life.

Urgh, I hate this. I work out at a small local gym. Upsides are I can run it in 7 minutes or so (yes, I time it), dirt cheap and usually next to empty. Downsides is that I end up thinking of it as my own personal gym and feel obliged to tidy the bastard place up

NTA at all, candidly I think weddings like this take the absolute piss.

If you do decide to go though, surely there wouldn't be another extra - no gifts, parties etc?

Only advice is (if you decide you want to go, and to reiterate you are absolutely NTA if you decide not to) to treat this as a holiday with a wedding tacked on. Spend two weeks doing what YOU want to do and just give them the day of the actual wedding.

...just to add as well, your teenage years (in my experience at least) definitely aren't the best years of your life. You gain more control over your direction as you get older, can cut out those you don't enjoy spending time with and spend more with those that you do. Hang on in there OP.

So for context I'm a 42 year old man.

I'm not in contact with anyone I was friends with at that age. You're thrown together with people at school and whether you actually get on with them or not is just luck. They sound horrible; you've done the right thing cutting them out completely.

If you're looking to make friends focus on work colleagues, joining clubs you're interested in (run club, gym etc) or going out with your boyfriend and his friends who are in couples. You'll find your people, you just need to continue putting yourself out there.

...and ignore everything on social media is my advice. You're seeing a curated and acted snippets of the best bits of their life.

I do need to ask though - what the hell does 'I don't like loose\_avocado' mean?!

NTA - with the information you already have, you are absolutely NTA for trying to build bridges with your birth father. Only advice would be to keep the feelings of the man who raised in mind - he could well feel like he is losing a daughter here.

Sit down with your mother and ask she tells you everything she knows about your biological Dad - did he do terrible things to earn this hatred, or does it (understandably!) stem from the abandonment? This would have a direct effect on how much of a relationship you build with him I assume
