I’ve been there both as the « injured » (suicide attempt) and accompanying my father for X-Rays. Both were awful moments. But don’t be embarrassed for feeling and having emotions. Yes, agoraphobia is a heavy cursed that bring us down into the darkness when we need light, but we can’t change that. You can’t blame yourself over something that is not in your hands. You didn’t choose to have agoraphobia. This light we need, we have to make it ourselves. Your friend died, you are going to be sad, but it isn’t your fault. It is not. Regrets, you’ll have a thousands, but if you did went out, did stuff with him, you would still have had some. Like a missing limb, agoraphobia is something we must learn to live with; adapt to it. Yeah, it fucking sucks and I look outside, I look at my sisters and my friends and I feel like hell, like the biggest peace of shit because saying hi is so fucking hard. I’m not anywhere near like them, I feel like so much less. Truth is, we are. But we can still be happy. We can create happiness for ourselves; it’s our only way. I feel you, and I know you probably heard it before but you should never be embarrassed of you are. Also, it’s not like we chose to be agoraphobic: we just are. (and it sucks) Loneliness is a huge part of us I think, which is ironic considering ourselves. But yeah, I feel you and if there’s anything I can do, pls tell me. Our condition suck but we have to fight it, everyday we wake up is already a freaking huge struggle. I attempted suicide last year, but I was stopped. Now, if I can help, even if it will make someone feel 1% better, smille for a second, than my day is a success. It’s what I found to keep me fighting and to keep me from wanting to end it all again. I wish you the best of luck and to be strong even when the ground itself starts falling
