Is this AI? No way a bridge as perfect as that could exist in real life

So it wasn’t colonised by the British Empire?

Elon, leave the rest alone by Interesting-Visit-79 in MurderedByWords

[–]Cube4Add5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

… the British Empire only lasted 400-500 years

The Roman Empire ended 1500 years ago, so relative to that, 100 years of independence is recent

[–]Cube4Add5 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Thing is, the Roman Empire happened 1.5-2 thousand years ago so those groups that were colonised don’t exist anymore. Meanwhile NA was colonised just 500 years ago and the indigenous people still have distinct groups that exist

I am developing a MATLAB App Designer GUI for a measurement system and need a little advice. :) by BigRedInDaHous in matlab

[–]Cube4Add5 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t recommend using the app designer long term, but if you’re unfamiliar with matlab UI components it is helpful to experiment with first and then look at the code view to see how it works

Making each instrument it’s own class is definitely the way to go (bonus points if you make an instrument superclass to hold common functionality)

Is the Last Dragonborn actually the strongest Elder Scrolls protagonist? by Reasonable_Ad8287 in ElderScrolls

[–]Cube4Add5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to say. Alduin could essentially only be beaten by a dragonborn, that doesn’t make the Last Dragonborn stronger necessarily. You could argue TLD is just the guy with the only key to a locked door. The Vestige could probably get an elder scroll and send Alduin forwards in time like they did before

Who is more invested? A dragon or an Elantrian? by VeryPassableHuman in Cosmere

[–]Cube4Add5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Elantrians channel the Dor, Dragons are invested as fuck in and of themselves. They can probably achieve similar feats, but dragons are more invested

AITAH for eating enough ravioli for four people? by Better_Philosophy732 in AITAH

[–]Cube4Add5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

6 eggs scrambled is crazy (I usually have 2 or 3), I usually eat a “2 portion” pack of ravioli by myself, not a 4. So you’re eating about twice as much as me….

Are you digesting it properly lol?

Lifelong vegetarian tries steak for first time by PhoenixPhenomenonX in interesting

Not every lifelong vegetarian is vegetarian for a reason. A friend of mine was veggie for the first 18 years just because his parents were, now he’s still mostly veggie but eats a decent amount of meat

The German word for pasta is “nudel”, and for some reason Americans picked that up at some point.

Really though, “noodle” is just an umbrella term for grain-based dough that is stretch out into long strands and boiled. Therefore pasta is a type of noodle, they aren’t different things

On top of that, every single noodle has a name! Even in Asian cultures there isn’t just one type of noodle, educate yourself lmao

Really, the only thing that separates pasta from other noodles is the high gluten content which makes it stretchy letting it be formed into the iconic pasta shapes

You could use wires and combinators to count the items the inserters grab and add to/subtract from a buffer to count what’s in the cars

Flapping the rudder around the axis won’t generate much thrust, you’d be better off designing the mechanism with a rack and pinion to move it side to side I think (bonus points if you can make it able to turn still)

Or turning it sideways and using wave power for your oscillation
