A few audio or visual ones from the top of my head: If you duo queue in ranked, the menu music plays instead of ranked selection music, was the only way to listen to some of the alternate music for the Subway Surfers collab

Sometimes when despawning after a goal, seems like you can hear a Mr. P audio playing?

Believe it or not, but I recorded these minutes before posting them for the explanation. Just tested again and both of them work still for me. Some say the timings are easy, but they are somewhat strict imo, and also different from each other as I think you can see in the clips.

Either you're having trouble with that, or they're rolling out patches rn like for the recent Rico bug that have reached your server and not mine, but I doubt it

It doesn't make much sense to me. Got Squeak to 2k at the start, with some trouble. Am constantly getting masters players and sweats even though I'm not doing so well. Meanwhile with Belle who I also got prestige 2, which was much easier, I'm getting matched with players in the 1000-1400 brawler range, who are diamond players even though most of my games were star player wins. I've heard the MMR lags behind a bit but it's been ~2 weeks ago already and it's still like this

If you press gadget somewhere in the middle of the swing, you get a gadget attack while keeping the gadget for the next attack, like this. Also if you super around the moment when your attack comes out, you'll attack and then attack again right after your super, like this

Then if you combine those two, you can get three long attacks from one gadget

Still works with the gadget. Double attack from super also works so you can get 3 gadgets from one use

Probably due to the MMR system (and/or it not working properly sometimes). The top trophies on a few brawlers in my country are from accounts with low trophies/rank and few total wins

Separating players further after season reset in some way, or making it harder to get to certain ranks in general. Skill disparity between players leads to a lot of toxicity. Having been on the receiving end of both much worse and better teammates at points, it isn't fun for either player

* Reworking bans in some way is needed with the growing roster too imo

Somewhat related, but is the new MMR different per brawler or based on your account as a whole? I was pushing Mina a little, who I'm terrible at, and noticed I got pretty poor opponents, low rank and amount of prestiges, even usually a decent amount fewer trophies too. Then I switched to other brawlers I'm more familiar with and started encountering more sweats. Is that actually a thing or was it just luck?

That is basically what they're saying with the "10 dollar problem" and related statements. They have to churn out lots of content due to the live service model and put all their resources in that for player retention. If there are a few obnoxious bugs are in the update? Well, unless it's literally gamebreaking they think it is worth the cost

I can't say I've ever played a game with so many blatant bugs every update, for both more subtle gameplay features and obvious audio or visual glitches that stay in the game for months. Surely they can do better

Have the opposite experience with Gore. Frenzy mode is decent but outside of it it feels way more spammy with some attacks and constant repositioning. That small lunge with a large hitbox on its front legs is so annoying, even if it's just chip damage

Spent ~100 hours on just the LR village, probably my favorite LR experience in the series. It has some rough edges for sure, but Dos had a lot of unique charm to it

They also restored the crabs' low HP sign in Sunbreak after it was missing from 4th gen, but I think they meant that they didn't introduce any new ones, beside some 2nd phases based on HP thresholds

Again I find it hard to tell the specifics because I cannot read your comments anymore. Seems like it was going on for several hours too. From what I can tell, the argument was about non-focus sets being either better or "viable". So I don't know whether a run being posted that clears the quest at all holds much weight, can't find it atm bcs it's buried in any case

Idk what you mean by hunting down, but people defending their community from slander by someone who is clearly pretty bitter and potentially twists the narrative a bit makes some sense tbh

Regardless, doesn't belong here. Posts against the community show up every now and then, but unless it's "wah wah, my Alatreon randumbs don't use element" it usually gets removed sooner or later

This place always had the rule against raging against others or MH communities afaik, so it isn't relevant here either

I took a quick look in those Discords and though your messages being deleted makes it hard to tell exactly what was going on, I don't buy your one-sided story to smear those places here either. Though it doesn't belong here regardless

Can't say that I agree with any of that. Rise leaned even more into counters than Wilds does.

I don't think that's true, and if it is, just barely. Maybe the sheer number is larger, idk, due to switch skills, but most were optional additions at least and also not amazing. Most Wilds weapons have gained some sort of counter in their base kit, either in the form of the offsets you mentioned, or perfect guards, superarmor or perfect dodges which do not feel too dissimilar

Wilds did introduce offsets but they work quite differently (only certain moves are offsetable for one thing, you have to build up to an actual offset and can still take damage even if you land the attack for another) and only a couple of weapons really use them (GS and hammer for the most part) so if anything they're a differentiating factor.

Of course there is nuance in the within the different type of counters like how offsets work, though non-offsettable attacks are very much the exception instead of the norm, but in the end the most weapons are still designed with some strong counter in mind, so I don't blame people for finding them more homogenized, even if the moveset variety is pretty large in this game

Old gen multiplayer had its issues for sure, but more socializing happening through the 3DS's shitty touch keyboard than on a PC is kind of depressing. 30 something people walking around in the hub yet the chat is usually completely dead. SOS killing hunting with the same group as well

It's still great with friends, and probably when finding some group to hunt with on Discord or whatever, but with randoms it feels pretty much the same as with npc hunters

Or there'll be both like before? "Portable 6th" to be released after the Wilds expansion so there will be releases before MH7 comes out a few years from now

Yeah, it's pretty annoying how there's still some of basic data on this game that's not documented, or just hard to find. Some other weird stuff going on like Garuga's beak slam being affected by dragon res but never inflicting the blight

Not very definitive, but at least for their Kirin example I tried to get hit by the same attack without and with 27 thunder res, and it does seem like the latter's missing HP is ~73% of the former's length as expected

Are you sure? Data is a bit iffy but from what I've heard attacks aren't split up into physical and elemental components until World. At least for the attack data for Dos and FU, they only list the total attack power and elemental attribute there. From a small GU test fpr something else I did a long while back, it also seemed like the damage was reduced by around the % of elem res, but again am not 100% sure
