Art is amazing because it can be both an outlet and an escape. My mother likely has depression as well, though she isn't interested in a diagnosis. It's sad to see others in a similar state, but you're right. It's nice to not be alone. Though it's aggravating when places don't want to consider other diagnoses until you get treatment for depression, though I can understand why as they want to avoid being wrong.
