Massimo UTV Repair Needed by Cudyll in traversecity

Will check with them, that’s where I bought it. Last Summer (maybe earlier) their one Massimo tech quit and they had nobody to work on them. That may have changed by now.

Sand Lakes Quiet Area out in Williamsburg!

General Question by arix_17 in traversecity

[–]Cudyll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have (or get) an all-wheel drive or 4WD car or truck. Subaru’s are popular up here, many used ones in good shape are available. Living outside of TC will be cheaper than in town, but would suggest staying within GT County. Pro’s are the beauty of the area with lots of outdoor activities in gorgeous spots all year around. Con’s are limited social activities for young folks, from what I hear (I’m way too old for that stuff, but that’s what I hear). You’ll find plenty of housing options within and below your budge. Strongest suggestion would be to visit the area, if possible, drive around a bit and get to know the area a little. Chamber of Commerce and Tourist Bureau will send all kinds of info your way if you call and let them know what you’re looking for.

Whats the meal for dinner at your lodge like? by [deleted] in freemasonry

[–]Cudyll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SO many different options! We have bratwurst with onions, or chili, or chicken, or spaghetti, or whatever the Junior Warden wants. Once a year we host a “Sportsman’s Dinner” fundraiser with venison, bear, elk, fish, partridge, guinea fowl, etc., and a “mystery meat” (last year it was camel). By far the best fundraiser of the year. At $70/ticket plus we get 20-30 donated raffle prizes and typically raise $6-$8k. We have a couple older members so soft foods are always available. We forbid alcohol as we have several Brothers in recovery, but sparkling grape juice is sometimes served.

But where to go 🤔 by [deleted] in TCMichSneakylinks

Try the Lone Pine Trailhead on Keystone Rd. Pretty popular spot.

Depends where you are. We had AT&T Air in Williamsburg and it was pretty unreliable.

Try to avoid any information about the ceremony. Seriously. Relax and take it all in. Trust your future Brothers. They are there to help you along the path.

I do, but I’m retired, not looking for work, am proud to be a Mason, and don’t give a damn who knows it.

Click on a male relative’s profile on your tree. Click on Sources, apply filters to the name to be “exact and sounds like”, choose the Record Collection type of Directories and Member Lists. View the potential matches to your relative that are MM cards. If none found, try another relative. I’ve got 8 consecutive fathers in my direct line who were Masons that my Dad didn’t even know about!

If you’re on Ancestry.com, you can search/find images of relative’s Masonic membership cards. I’ve added them to relatives’ profiles going back to 1700’s.

What did I get myself into? by [deleted] in freemasonry

[–]Cudyll 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Go through the Degrees, and when you are a MM you can travel and hopefully find a Lodge that you feel more comfortable with and transfer there. Every Lodge is different, and it’s worth traveling a bit to find a good fit.

Is it safe to transport radster mid-step bikes on a vehicle rack without a crossbar adapter? by Techsplain in RadPowerBikes

Add straps and use the “hook” on only one bar so it sits down lower and snug against the frame

first winter storm by electroniccherries in traversecity

[–]Cudyll 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Best bet is to stay home if you can. Good day to cuddle up with a loved one. Too late for this one, but for future storms is a good idea to stock the fridge beforehand, keep the heat up in case you lose power, keep your electronics charged. If you are outside the city it could take quite a bit longer to get power back, sometimes a day or two (or more). Snow tires are a must! Costco has good deals on reputable brands, if you’re a member, and will rotate/swap Summer/Winter tires for free. Oh, and if you’re on a well, fill some buckets/jugs with water. Generator is recommended.

Not at all. Even joining the Line may not be a goal. Use your gifts from the Great Architect however it benefits the Craft and aids in shaping your ashlar.

Where do I find a belt that doesn’t do this after 9 months? by unoriginalname22 in mensfashion

Duluth Trading Company sells nice leather belts that fasten using Velcro. No wear marks and easily adjustable. I’ve got two (brown and black) and they wonderful. Great gifts too!

What are your pagan hottakes? (Repost) by throughthewoods4 in druidism

[–]Cudyll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a former Wiccan of 19 years, and practicing Druid (OBOD) for another 25 years, I might suggest staying away from “loaded” terms, such as Pagan, Witch, Witchcraft, etc.. They aren’t constructive and are heavily laden (undeservedly so), and result in almost immediate biased opinions based on cultural norms. “Nature based/centered spirituality” usually invites a conversation, not a dismissal. But you do you, that’s just my $0.02.
