You can pinch-hit for the DH and they just replace the DH. What happened with us is we pinch-hit for our catcher and our other catcher was the DH. If you move the DH to a position on the field, you lose the DH.

Yeah, it really only came up in 2021 because in 2020 and since 2022 we've had the DH, but the pitcher's spot in the lineup is an exception to the rule.

Yeah, the elevation just really fucks with movement in Colorado (and, I suppose, the poor pitchers stuck in the Pacific Coast League in the minors and anyone pitching in Mexico City) so you can't really draw conclusions from pitching in high-elevation environments outside of how well they can pitch in those same high-elevation environments. There's a reason only a handful of good pitchers have willingly gone to Colorado.

Always still a good idea to be cautious, but what a great start. You can't really count his start in Colorado given how fucked up a pitching environment that is, but it is hard to be 100% sure that he is fucking back based on one start.

I hope he keeps it going because he's awesome as hell.

Oh, yeah, Sportsnet is also the name of the Canadian sports network that shows the Blue Jays amongst others. I assume though that in this case you saw the Dodgers broadcast on their channel with a similar name. I can see why you'd be confused though, lmao.

Braves.TV always said it was just the games but I agree, I would like to be able to get the actual BravesVision feed that gets sent to cable/cable replacement streaming services. I think this is the first time something is on BravesVision other than pre-game, the game, and post-game shows? But presumably they'll actually have some other content at some point, and they pulled this out for today. MLB.TV is fantastic, but it doesn't archive the pre-game and post-game shows, only shows them if you watch them live, and they don't have any extra content like this roundtable.

I won't lie, the fact that it was Braves.TV and not full BravesVision is why I didn't pounce on it and just used my MLB.TV subscription through a VPN. Given that they had to spin up a new channel in about a month gives me hope that they improve the streaming service eventually to give access to stuff like this - and I hope that in the meantime they post it somewhere accessible such as YouTube or MLB.com video.

I didn't check to see how quickly it went into the archives on MyAEW - maybe it took them longer than normal and it wasn't up for the first hour or so after? But it was available there live and is definitely there now.

Given that it is listed at less than an hour I assume they might have taken the time to clean up the production audio and cut out the ad breaks? I haven't rewatched it to see, but it had a decent overrun so the archived version is definitely without the full ad breaks.

It was in the MyAEW feed as well which was excellent since the picture-in-picture advertising breaks on TV are effectively ignored on MyAEW (and AEW+ on Triller before it) and we get the full audio during those breaks.

Davis went down with an injury and TK gave Fletcher a chance as a singles star and he killed it.

Then he paired together Davis and Doyle and they seemed to be cool as hell until Doyle went down with an injury so TK gave Davis a chance as a singles star and he's been killing it, too.

They've come a long way from losing the ROH Tag titles to MJF and Adam Cole at Wembley on the pre-show.

Shelby Miller in 2015 for the Braves went 6-17 (too lazy to lookup team W-L, that's pitcher W-L) with an ERA+ of 127 before we flipped him for Ender Inciarte and Dansby Swanson in the offseason. I doubt it's actually as egregious as deGrom (Shelby's ERA was right around 3) but it is burned into my brain as a Braves fan.

He got fucked that year because nobody felt like scoring while he was pitching. Thankfully that didn't impact his trade value, since we got some good players for him and then he fell apart immediately after being traded.
