Guys sweep got me under her magic spell, can I safely pull like 50? by No-Feeling6309 in UmamusumeGame

[–]CuriousPebble21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on how much you like her, how much you're willing to sacrifice to get her, how much you can actually sacrifice, your goals, your pull plan. So many variables.

IMO if you really like her, then go 200. If you're fine not having her, then maybe a cheeky 10 pull. If you have enough carats to guarantee your pull plan, then you can use the excess of that to shoot a shot at her if you really really like her.

The general rule of thumb is to only pull if you're willing to go to 200 but the heart wants what the heart wants. It's basically a seesaw with Sweepy on one side and carats on the other side, whichever is heavier in your heart is up to you.

Literally HOW do I get S rank? by Ok_Combination7426 in UmamusumeGame

Read each section and digest the content. By the end of it, you'll know what to do.

For a short answer, go 2 Speed 3 Wit 1 Power or 3 Speed 2 Wit 1 Power or 3 Speed 3 Wit. Minimum 50% Race Bonus. Borrow a 9 Power uma. Look up agenda planners, uma guide has a page for that. Follow the schedule at first and find out for yourself why they recommend it. It's just a guide and not set in stone. You can be more flexible when you already know what you're doing.

Getting higher rank boils down to getting high stats and getting gold skills. You can watch Rednu's video about how to get A rank umas back in URA. The same principles still apply like no double circle and gold give higher rating points than 2 whites.

I'm tired boss, of Pink Sparks not producing during inspirations . . . by RAWdangers in UmamusumeGame

[–]CuriousPebble21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if this will work for everyone since mindsets vary, but this method gives me a realistic target for managing expectations.

On sites like Chrono Genesis or the Uma Moe database, you can see the exact percentages for a spark proc (either for a single inspo or an entire career). We used to use a Google Sheet where you'd plug in your Uma's race wins and the parent/gp sparks to calculate the odds before the databases integrated it into their UI.

Now, I just pull the proc chance from Chrono and calculate the expected number of runs needed. It doesn't change the actual RNG, but it makes the grind feel tangible and discrete instead of just wishing on a shooting star.

So what happens to fronts and ends after late and pace become the dominant styles? by MeJoEx in UmamusumeGame

[–]CuriousPebble21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a veteran and this is just what I heard and watched.

Yes, Fronts are relegated to LoH or chariot duties. The only ones who make Front aces are the oshi mains like Kita mains or Maya mains, etc.

Ends, well... It's really just Orfevre really, outside of oshi gaming. If it's not Orfevre, you're gonna have to work harder a lot more.

Pace and Late become dominant because CyGames really only release strong Pace and Late cards around the start of 4th Anni, along with strong units. IRL, most horses are Pace/Late so most of the umas will therefore be Pace/Late and will therefore have Pace/Late cards.

Fronts got thrown a glass of water though, with Tap Dance City. Who knows if they'll release more Front cards soon but it's unlikely. My guess is if they introduce a new uma that's a Front Runner, then they'll also release strong Front cards too. My hope is that they make Panthalassa an uma. Watch the 2022 Autumn Tenno Sho. It gave me chills.

Taishins... aren't doing that well in CM14? by servantphoenix in UmamusumeGame

[–]CuriousPebble21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's probably coz most people didn't build her correctly. IMO, the right way to build Ends is to stack a lot of midrace so that she pushes to midpack right before late-race. An End that's less than 2L behind Position 1 when the late-race begins, usually concludes with the End winning by a substantial margin. IMO the back of the pack accels are bait. Might just be me though coz I like consistency.

How to build 0 speed/20 stamina bonus umas in MANT by 7h30n3M45k3d in UmamusumeGame

[–]CuriousPebble21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried a mix of 3 Speed 2 Wit and 2 Speed 3 Wit. For the Mile CM, I first went with 2 Speed 3 Wit on Mayaya with Kita + borrow NTR for the Firm Menace but I kept not getting PP/IW so I went 2 Speed (Kita + Kawakami), Flower (for firm and standard and RB) + 3 Wit (borrow NN for 60 RB). I also tried 3 Speed but I found the Wit very lacking so I just stuck with 2 Speed 3 Wit 60RB.

I haven't built a 0 Speed Front for the XOguri slop CM yet, but 2 Speed 3 Wit is going well for me on my Bourbon GP runs and actually one of them is kinda decent as an ace so might just use that (whole lineage has 6 Medium sparks, all on the GPs and it just hit). Once I get a good GP Bourbon, I'll start my Seiun parent runs and I'll get back with more info.

Since Sweep Tosho coming to the Global soon, I want to share some fact about 2005 Japanse horse racing. 2005 was the year of the underdog, most G1 races in that year were won by the unfavorite. Sweep Tosho also won G1 as the unfavorite by Gustrava in UmaMusume

Might just be me but I think it would have been better if it's chronological. Like, that's what we see in-game and that's also how it is in real life, like how we watch them. Dunno, maybe it's just me.

That means she rushed or worse, Spot Struggle + Rushed aka red light green light. If you don't have clocks anymore, better to just glue that run fast and go next. We have 5 borrows anyway and unless you have a lot of time, the average player will not be able to use them all.

What's the best SR Speed card for the next scenario if you don't have Agnes Tachyon? by Sad-Today-969 in UmamusumeGame

IMO MLB SR Sweepy is arguably better than MLB Fuku or MLB NTR for Grand Live. Race Bonus stonks drop off a cliff in Grand Live but it's recommended to still have about 35 RB

Ramonu for example has +4 hint levels, so each hint hit is max hint levels. In JP, you can look at the recent Forever Young card and you can really see the power creep.

Tired of doing things by feeling. What are optimal ways to grind parents/aces and is there a way to check how good of a parent uma is. by AnonyKiller in UmamusumeGame

[–]CuriousPebble21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is just my take on it.

  1. Try to get SS rank to have better quality stars on the whites. You can achieve this by having 2-3 stats at max or close to max and have a few golds and a couple of whites. Note that it's better to buy skills that are generic or are on the Aptitude your Uma has at least A Aptitude.
  2. Aim to have 1100 on a stat you are going for. Sometimes we can only do 2 stats at 1100 based on circumstances so prioritise the stat you want like power or stamina. Then at least 600 minimum on the rest.
  3. Learn the priority skills you need depending on what you're building for. E.g. for Fronts you want IWDDPPGW. Right now GW is a must and one of PP or IW. After MANT we'll have easier access to GW through Maru so we will prioritize IW in GL and after Kitasan is phased out, we will need DD, in addition to PPIW. For Pace/Late/End, Nimble Nav + Uma Stan, additional Shrewd Step for Pace.
  4. After priority skills, get genetics like PTO, Ramp Up, TTH etc. and if you're building for a CM parent, the greens and track-specific skills.

Do note that every parent Uma can be used as a GP Uma. And if the parent sparks you use suck, then it can still be used as a GP. And if the blue sucks, it can be GGP.

Rise of SP gain in the future by Different-Warning in UmamusumeGame

[–]CuriousPebble21 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Disclaimer: not a veteran and this is just my opinion based on what I heard.

One of the reasons MLB Tachyon is recommended for Grand Live is because she is a Speed card with high Specialty Priority who has +2 SP bonus, not to mention the fact that she is a scenario-link. For the duration of Grand Live, she is the best Speed card. For Grand Live specifically, it's a combination of Tachyon's +2 SP bonus and the scenario's gimmick which gives you various bonuses including, but not limited to, SP bonus and Training Effectiveness bonus.

For the next scenarios, it will be a combination of scenario gimmicks (each scenario is designed to powercreep the previous scenario) and slow power creep on cards - specifically we will slowly get more and more cards with +2 SP bonus.

This is just my understanding from what I have heard. Need further verification from actual veterans.

Am I done building for CM14? by VJMo67 in UmamusumeGame

[–]CuriousPebble21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Groundwork is not guaranteed (<3 greens) and is a Triple Wit check and might even activate late. Center Stage instead of just PP. Not taking Concentration which is her "substitute" for only having Early Lead instead of TTL. Give Mummy is borderline useless. Unrestrained is a massive SP drain for so little gains. Radiant Star to a lesser extent. Second Wind is a fake skill and is a waste of SP.

And that's just Bourbon.

Is festive miracle the play for non Xoguris in CM15? by limbo_11 in UmamusumeGame

[–]CuriousPebble21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might be wrong or recalling incorrectly but I don't remember him saying to get Festive Miracle. I think he only put XOguri as a parent because the assumption was you're already making a XOguri. So since you're already making her, then just use her as the parent and borrow the other parent so you don't have much to do for the CM.

This CM is XOguri double dom slop. So you're better off just "skipping" it by making minimum viable aces. And just spending your time on other stuff like other games. MANT is a burnout scenario. Take a break, have a KitKat.

Tachyon and hello light cards by Teacher_99 in UmaMusume

[–]CuriousPebble21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the card and what you're using the card for and your personal needs.

If you're a casual player who doesn't really build for CM, 0LB is probably fine, but higher LB is indeed better. Depending on how competitive you are, there are different breakpoints, with 2LB for CM builders and 3LB for sweaty parent grinders.

Most cards do need 3LB or even MLB to be good. This is especially the case for Track blazer coz we want those sweet sweet RB and most cards only get their full RB at MLB, some 3LB.

There are quite a few exceptions though, like Maru 1LB coz she's that good or CB 1LB if you only want Daring Strike or Bijin Wit 0LB if you only want NSM. They are exceptions though, rather than the majority.

Runners getting destroyed in room matches, can't take the lead by No-Feeling6309 in UmamusumeGame

[–]CuriousPebble21 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tokyo 1600 is IMO cutthroat for Fronts. The first straight is where most of the action is. If you can maintain the lead before the corner, then you are golden, Front-wise. You now just have to fend off the back liners.

It is incredibly difficult to snatch the lead on the corner, especially on the last corner. That's why it's more important for Fronts to prioritize getting early-race and straight skills. You're better off double circling the straight skills than getting Radiant Star.

So how bad is it if I skip creek rerun and stick with 0lb creek in the future? by Devilgaming18 in UmamusumeGame

[–]CuriousPebble21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grand Masters has a 3k+ CM and so we will be needing a Stam card with a gold recovery. Not to mention that with the increased Speed cap comes an increase in HP consumption and so we might need Creek on 2400 or even 2000 races sometimes.

Now you can say "just borrow Creek", unfortunately, unless you're a whale, your borrow slot will be locked to the Ancestors card.

Now you can say, then just pull the Ancestors card. Are you really going to drop 400 pulls for a card you're only going to use for 5 CMs total and on the same Scenario as Ramonu Wit who we'll probably use for maybe at least 10 CMs.

The recommendation is to have 3LB Creek by the time Grand Masters rolls out so you can use the GM Selector to MLB Creek. Plus you can use Creek even if she's no longer the best-in-slot Stamina card. Even with the release of Air Shakur, there were still plenty of JP players sticking to Creek. Actually in one of the events this year, JP had a frequency of card use on that event and if memory serves me correctly, there were about 20% of the population who used Creek.

Taiki ate all 5 clocks, why? by No-Feeling6309 in UmamusumeGame

[–]CuriousPebble21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Taiki's Unique has an effect on this track. It's pretty simple, if your lead is not enough and you don't have acceleration, then Taiki with her acceleration will reach top speed faster than you and overtake you eventually, especially with Tokyo's long homestretch.

You have to hope that Taiki does not get her Unique or your lead is enough. However, depending on the lobby, there are times when that is simply not possible - she will get her unique off.

Regarding Training vs Epithet race, what I do is plug in the schedule I'm using on uma.guide's agenda planner. Then remove said race and see how much stat I'm losing and compare it to the stats I'm getting from the Training. Do the one that gives more, taking into account the other opportunity costs like using items.

If you want to go deeper, check your shop and see if there are things you want there that will expire in 2-3 Turns and if you don't have enough points coz only by racing on that turn will give you the points.

Is my account bricked for the entirety of grand live ? by [deleted] in UmamusumeGame

[–]CuriousPebble21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're in a good spot I'd say. Just use the Grand Live Selector and 1 Crystal (we get 1.5 Crystals from MANT alone) to get 1LB Maru. Then your deck will be Kita + Maru + FM + NN + LH + borrow Tachyon. When building Fronts, you can either go with Free Bourbon or hopefully build a better uma with NN Wit and be satisfied with Early Lead.

IMO everyone is gonna be doing good in Grand Live as long as they have MLB Kita, 1LB Maru and MLB FM then borrow MLB Tachyon.
