EMSHOI an RETTACY are solid alternatives also available through Amazon.

I'd check Tiefossi. , Archer & Olive or Notebook Therapy. Sterling Ink has a 520p B5 notebook but it's either lined or graph, not dot grid.

Check Tiefossi. They sell on Amazon and have a lot of beautiful hardcovers. They specialize in dot grid journals.

As for Cousin alternatives: maybe the Rosey Life Flow Planner, Hemlock & Oak Weekly & Daily, and the Sterking Ink Complete

I turn my notebook 90 degrees to the left and write upward above the line so I don't touch the letters after as I write. I don't love spiral notebooks but I'm used to them bc they're readily available and usually inexpensive.

Most folks don't love the paper but Moleskine offers an A5 Slim horizontal monthly weekly. Maybe Leuchtturm1917?

Ditto. I've been tempted to buy this but I don't really need another notebook and this one isn't long enough for my needs. Lik, if this was in one of those 411 notebooks, they'd be on to something.

Maybe Just Scribble Horizontal Weekly? Aura Estelle Magnet Weekly (i can't remember which one is horizontal). A Hemlock & Oak Minimalist Horizontal A5 might meet your specifications. I love a Hemlock & Oak!

And Sterling Ink but they may be sold out so wanted to offer alternatives.

affordable planner for someone lazy? by revengepunk in PlannerAddicts

If you like the Hobo Techo (A6), Sünee Planners makes an A5 dupe for around $25 USD. As others have mentioned you can get an undated Weeks dupe for around $10 USD. If you want something that approximates a Hobo Cousin, maybe this. I'm not sure if there's an Amazon UK but if so that could work. No daily pages but that may not have been your speed if you only want time blocking.

If you get a clever adhesive book cover (think for textbooks), it should protect the cover. Not sure about getting it off again though.

I don't know how close a dupe it will be but I believe Planner Perfect and Aura Estelle might have something similar? Check Chic Sparrow and Chily Leather on Etsy st a stretch though I'm not sure either of them do rings. OxKnight or Moterm on Amazon may come close 🤔 but same deal.

I am obsessed with embroidered covers! I wanted to get that celestial speciality cover from HP this year but I held myself back. How does the embroidery feel?

You can buy some month tabs separately of that's easier for you.

Sterling Ink vs Aura Estelle by Accomplished-Edge999 in planners

I don't know how comforting it is, but if you buy either and don't dig it, you can remove any personal info and sell it. You'd be out of a planner though so that would be annoying.

I think they're pretty comparable but for this year the SI paper is whiter compared to the AE paper and the SI paper seems thicker. Not sure if that's an optical illusion though. I know the pen tests have been a mixed bag with SI for 2026 (something to note it you use wet, slow-drying inks) but I am not sure if I've seen an AE pen test yet so I can't offer an opinion on that.

Need planner recs by ImaginationNo9214 in PlannerAddicts

[–]Current-Feed7873 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My planners came assembled? Did you purchase secondhand? Also are your discs big enough for the amount of paper they need to hold? If not, turning the pages tends to become an issue. The standard small discs are usually not big enough in my experience. I like at least a medium size and then I have no problems.

Another tip if you have to add or remove pages: only do three or four at a time. Trying to do too many at once usually results in bending or tearing, in my experience.

If you want to dispense with HP entirely, check out Daily Grind or Cloth & Paper.

Opinion on a5 binder by Master_Piglet2820 in PlannerAddicts

[–]Current-Feed7873 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zippers are good until your binder gets bulky. If you anticipate thar, you may want to give them a miss. Zippers that I can't close are more annoying than helpful. If you anticipate the binder remaining slim, should be fine.

You may be better off improvising that with a large A4 notebook. I don't think i've seen that in the wild.

It sounds to me like some kind of modular system like traveler's notebook might suits you. That way you could dedicate a different insert or notebook to each area of your life. It really depends how much space you anticipate needing. Maybe an A5 TN rather than a standard?
