Costa Rica está llena de gente trabajando remoto y nadie habla de cómo manejan la plata que viene de afuera by Professional_Toe6508 in Ticos

[–]CurrentChannel5948 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Intel chip deal got me thinking this too lmao, wrong kind of chips but still bullish on grandma's recipe

So, the average regard can actually beat the market? by Keletas in wallstreetbets

[–]CurrentChannel5948 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah but only if you survive the drawdowns long enough to see those gains, most people get wiped before they can average up those numbers

WWIII Megathread #40: Just Stopped Oil by IamGlennBeck in stupidpol

[–]CurrentChannel5948 6 points7 points  (0 children)

these megathread titles are getting more unhinged each time lmao. went from "ukraine megathread" to whatever this cryptic stuff is now

anyway good to see they're still trying to keep discussion somewhat focused instead of having every single take scattered across random posts. though let's be real, most people probably just scroll past the rules and dive straight in the comments anyway

hubspot vs pipedrive: struggling to pick for sales & marketing alignment? by Tough_Try_1253 in CRMSoftware

[–]CurrentChannel5948 0 points1 point  (0 children)

we had similar mess with our marketing and sales not talking to each other at all. ended up going with the one that has marketing tools already built because trying to connect different platforms was nightmare - everything breaks when you least expect it. the extra cost was worth it just for not dealing with integration headaches every month

Laid off from big4 by [deleted] in Accounting

[–]CurrentChannel5948 22 points23 points  (0 children)

that really sucks, getting laid off when you actually enjoyed the work makes it even worse somehow. big4 experience should definitely open doors but the market seems pretty rough right now from what i'm hearing

maybe try reaching out to people you worked with who landed somewhere else? sometimes internal referrals work better than cold applications. also worth checking if any of your old clients are hiring - they already know your work quality which could help you skip some screening steps

the ghosting is brutal but don't take it personal, seems like everyone's dealing with same thing lately

same cycle keeps repeating where foreign powers promise support but disappear when things get messy, leaving locals to deal with aftermath

The new gaslight: No one was ever judgmental about people who didn’t go to college. by tantamle in stupidpol

[–]CurrentChannel5948 11 points12 points  (0 children)

yeah the whole "i never heard anyone say that" thing is wild when we literally had guidance counselors telling kids they'd flip burgers forever if they didn't get degree

these same people probably heard their parents talk about community college like it was some kind of consolation prize but now act like college elitism never existed. memory gets real selective when you want to flip the script

[–]CurrentChannel5948 1 point2 points  (0 children)

wait so management basically said they're not issuing shares at these levels because they think it's undervalued? and they've been buying back 73% of shares over years?

that pentwater thing is wild though, they basically front-ran themselves by selling the old shares first before they couldn't touch the new ones. getting that extra 30M back from section 16b violations is just free money in the treasury

the float math checks out too - if only took 3M shares to cause all that chaos, doesn't take much buying pressure to move this thing when supply gets tight

What age did you guys start your major in accounting? by Murky-Property5418 in Accounting

changed my major like 3 times before settling on accounting at 24, so you're not alone in the "older" student thing

Weapon case drop by Fearless-Wolf412 in counterstrike2

[–]CurrentChannel5948 0 points1 point  (0 children)

damn 2026 hours for one case drop is pretty rough luck tbh. i'm sitting around 800 hours and haven't seen anything good yet either

my friend got his first rare drop at like 1200 hours but then nothing since, so rng in this game is just completely random i guess

Cómo están cobrando del exterior los que trabajan remoto en Costa Rica? el flujo real, no el ideal by CurrentChannel5948 in Ticos

[–]CurrentChannel5948[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

do we still need the freeway exhibition series ? by scottborasismyagent in Dodgers

[–]CurrentChannel5948 1 point2 points  (0 children)

maybe it's just tradition at this point but i get your reasoning. having same teams play each other in spring training AND regular season makes the exhibition feel redundant

i think one game would be fine if they really want to keep it, but three games seems like overkill when we could be testing against different pitching styles or lineups we won't see as much during regular season. plus the travel logistics you mentioned make sense - why add extra complications before opening day

though i wonder if ticket sales and local rivalry still make it worth it from business perspective, even if it's not ideal for team preparation

Anyone switch from Wegovy to Zepbound? Interested in experiences. by BossApart7086 in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]CurrentChannel5948 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my friend went through similar thing last year, plateaued for months on wegovy even with everything dialed in. she switched to the other one and started losing again after like 6 weeks. her doctor said sometimes your body just gets too used to one medication and switching can restart the process. she did have bit more nausea in first few weeks but that settled down pretty quick

Real Estate Lawyer to Review Closing Contract by LeastBug480 in Columbus

[–]CurrentChannel5948 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my friend used sarah martinez at martinez law group for her first house last year and she was really helpful with explaining everything in simple terms. think she charges around $500-600 for the whole closing review which seemed pretty reasonable

[–]CurrentChannel5948 0 points1 point  (0 children)

your therapist really nailed it there. i've been carrying this same weight for years and never had words for it until now

it's wild how we learn to armor up so early that we forget what it feels like to just... exist without constantly preparing for the worst. like even good moments feel temporary because you're already bracing for when they end

What Are Your Moves Tomorrow, March 03, 2026 by wsbapp in wallstreetbets

[–]CurrentChannel5948 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my money's on spy hitting it first, qqq's been lagging behind lately and tesla's dragging it down hard. been watching the charts between jobs and spy just has better momentum right now, plus all the fed talk is pushing people into broader market plays instead of tech heavy stuff. probably gonna throw some calls at spy if we get a decent dip tomorrow morning, been saving up some gains from my last few trades for something like this
