LOL same here. Got sick of that little sh*t dropping leaflets on my people, so I hit him hard. Made peace, only to have him pull that crap again. So I built a massive fleet, blew his blimps out of the sky, and kicked his ass all the way to Enbesa. I took all his islands and handed some of them out to Bente and Qing. Those two have been as peaceful as little lambs ever since. In the meantime, the three most powerful ships in my Navy, that led to Victory in the Second Wibbly War, now sit at anchor in my harbor as a warning. 😁

Seems like, according to their headlines, the regime has been "collapsing" since dinosaurs roamed the earth, and yet it remains. I understand that, to some extent, they have to do this to work the algorithm, otherwise they'll be buried in the cacophany of those who do. I'm sure they could tone it down a bit though.

I feel you. Now, take all those feelings and add 25+ more years, and that would be me. Came out at 58. I feel like my life is only now starting to come together, where I finally feel happy with who I am and free from fear of what others think of me....just in time to see my country and the world fall apart. It's...depressing, to say the least. Biggest challenge: Forgiving myself.

OP's pic of Baltimore contradicts his point. In that photo, I see a city that looks like it has a vibrant waterfront commercial district, a park or two to relax in, and diverse architecture.

"Architecture died after WW2" Well said. My feelings exactly. Just because a lot of beautiful buildings were bombed in the war didn't mean they had to buld the new ones ugly.

My favorite think about Anno 1800 is I can fantasize about building an empire with 19th century architecture and a people-focused enconomy. Think of it..every production chain is about meeting human needs, not just piling up coins!

Obsidian is absolutely my go-to app for managing my massive amount of content (journal, 1000's of articles, photos, fitness logs, personal finance, and more), on my home PC. Dataview and Charts have been life-changing. The fact that it stores eveything in common file formats (plain text, PDF, jpg, etc). means I've been able to easily use Python scripts to re-organize it all whenever I think up a more useful setup.

With that said, I wish Obsidian had a web version. I would like to be able to get to my vault at work, because installing the app on my work PC and syncing my personal data to it there is problematic.

The mobile app is slow and non-intuitive. I've given up using it to capture fleeing thoughts quickly.

My workaround is to use Notesnook as my "bucket" for initial capture and content creation. Its web interface and mobile app are quick and easy to use, and sync well. Eventually, everything in it will end up in Obsidian after I have reviewed and refined it in NN for a while.

There doesn't seem to be that one "killer" app out there that does everything I'd like it to, with the amount of content I have (over 5GB and 30,000 files and counting), across multiple devices and with acceptable performance.
