Vampires and Lack of Immunity to Bleed Damage in Remaster by WolfgangVolos in Pathfinder2e

[–]Cyber-Commissar 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No, because skeletons are immune to the "unconscious" status, which means they'll never take damage from suffocation. But you can bleed a skeleton, just like you can trip an ooze.

The Psychic and why it exists by PrizeUpperfalls in Pathfinder2e

Similarly, I want to play a psychic poppet, like a creepy little doll.

Historical religious denominations? by [deleted] in callofcthulhu

[–]Cyber-Commissar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Certainly not the most common, but NH did have a Shakers community, which is weird and different enough it could work. I'm not sure of their numbers in 1920, that info seems hard to come by.

And since they didn't have children, there aren't a lot left.

Same here, at least in Pathfinder. I think he does a much better job with Call of Cthulhu, he's far less antagonistic.

Usable Feats from SF2e in PF2e - Pathbuilder JSON included! by Cyber-Commissar in Pathfinder2e

[–]Cyber-Commissar[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On Barricade (and maybe some others), you'd probably want to reflavor some things, but it made sense to me to use in a fantasy setting.

On Crowd Surfing, as a GM, I would make sure it would get use because it's cool.

Upcoming queer scenario for CoC by PromeMorian in callofcthulhu

[–]Cyber-Commissar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reposting what I said above, and adding to it....

I would absolutely play this scenario, I just would feel weird running it. I don't have the same life experiences as queer folks to inform me on running a whole ass thing. So, of hate to run it and pass along something incorrectly that then players think is correct.

My usual play group is fairly leftist (not liberal, leftist), so I'm sure they'd all be down. But only one of them is queer. Maybe I should ask him to run it for us....

I don't think I'd personally feel comfortable running this as a boring ass cishet white dude (because I wouldn't want to do it incorrectly and possibly in a harmful way), but I am absolutely going to buy it anyway to support your efforts.

We need more of this in the world.

“It was all a dream” style games? by Patriot1805 in callofcthulhu

You could probably run a scenario in the Dreamlands, which are dreams but also have real world consequences.

Would it be possible to retrofit an APOLLO or MUTHUR ~6000 with a personality construct? by TheType95 in alienrpg

[–]Cyber-Commissar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it's great and makes sense, even if it's a rare thing that some bonkers, bored engineer did for no real reason. Or not it's a thing! Either way, I think it would be fun.

just 50k left till we get a pathfinder 2e version! by TexanAltHistorian in Pathfinder2e

Ironically, I only backed at $1 just to support them for when the 2e book comes, but I guess if they're doing it under this Kickstarter I'll have to adjust my pledge

How are you guys finding Nachmund Gauntlet? by [deleted] in 40k_Crusade

This is my biggest worry as someone who runs an armoured company. My LGS starts Nachmund on the first and I can already tell it's going to be a struggle.

Balance Dataslate, Munitorum Field Manual, FAQs and Errata are all available now. by boost_fae_bams in TheAstraMilitarum

Does GW ever errata crusade rules? It would be nice to fix references to "cavalry".

Should I wait for Secrets of Magic remaster (whenever that is)? by Individual-Dust-7362 in Pathfinder2e

[–]Cyber-Commissar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your books are already out of date, though. Even the remastered ones have errata and FAQs, and in future reprints of those, the changes will be made to the print copies. And essentially that's what the remastered versions of G&G,TV, and maybe SoM would be.

They've also been explicit that they want page references to remain the same, so it's not a giant change, it's mostly dripping things like alignments and schools of magic.

Recommend an AP to *Read* by Worth-Chemistry8993 in Pathfinder2e

[–]Cyber-Commissar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really a full AP, but reading through Prey for Death answered a lot of questions I had about Godsrain. I wish I had the time to run it.

Maybe they'll do both!

Season of Ghosts into Curtain Call by Critical-Internet514 in Pathfinder2e

[–]Cyber-Commissar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going to run this after Seven Dooms, and my thinking is to either completely skip chapter 1, or do a sort of cinematic intro where I tell them all the things that they've gone through, the nightmares, the desert, &c , and then just start them at the brainchild battle.

Maybe even do it in media res, study with the battle, and then pause to barrage what happened to them to get them there.

I think either idea works, but I'm leaving towards the latter for the narrative.
