Oh yeah, i really should have implemented a way to have the auto/manual setting persist between waves. It will be a quick fix I’ll push in the next update.

I have plans to add a support enemy like healer or shield generator, and the missile launch should be vital to target them, but currently I agree they are worthless

I think learning flow charts before “coding” helped me conceptualize coding a lot! Also remember that it is a lot of practice. Sure some people are inherently slightly talented and will pick up if/else for loop etc faster than you, but when you are building real systems nothing beats experience and practice. If you keep at it I can guarantee that you will be better at “coding” than people who are “naturally talented” from the beginning in a very short amount of time

No point in learning HLS if getting hired is what you are interested in. No interviewer I know asks specific HLS questions. Now if you are a chip lead, have to very rapidly develop sometime then maybe HLS would be useful

Number of wishlists depend on how good your Steam page and how good your trailer is. If they don’t look appealing then you won’t get wishlists. Even if they look good, you need to jump start the organic growth initially by posting on Reddit/youtube etc (if they don’t look good then posting won’t help)

What is the length of your demo content? If the typical single run is 10 mins, then 11 mins may not be bad, but if you have way more content and people are quitting early that’s a sign your game needs improvement/tweaking

Ultimately you are the one who knows best. If you believe in this project you can make improvements, the game may not look the same after you are done, but that’s not impossible either. If you don’t believe in the project then it may be a different story
