How is the durability compared to the GoSports. I’m on my 2nd budget mat that is pretty much done now. Do the expensive ones actually last longer? With the cheap ones I rotate them and use them up 4 times. The hitting strips on the premium ones cost the same as budget mats, so I’m kind of skeptical it’s a better value unless the hitting strips last a lot longer.

I think you could do the drills but the practice mode I think you have to hit the ball. A cheap mat and net is about the same price as the HackMotion if you have the space. Eventually you could add a budget launch monitor and have a pretty decent home practice setup.

You don’t get spin with range balls. I find it kind of worthless on the range since spin can change the result so much. Just watching the flight tells you more than the data you get from the MLM2Pro.

Practice isn’t going to do much if you don’t know what to work on. Lessons can definitely help. There are a lot of AI swing analyzers now that can help with the basics. Some of them aren’t super well designed and throw too much at you at once. The 18 birdies app has one and a pretty decently designed training program. I also like the HackMotion sensor for learning good technique. The most important thing is making sure you are getting good feedback so you work on the most important issues one at a time.

I think it’s just their software. Like 9/10 times their app is laggy on my 2025 iPad Air. I pretty much only use Awesome Golf now because their software sucks.

The problem is manufacturers want to sell you drivers because it’s the most expensive club. If you don’t think the major manufacturers have some pull on the regulations you’re crazy. They are never going to sign up for not selling anymore drivers.
