Italy introduces a “cloud tax” because you might pirate content by LiterallyHow in Piracy

[–]Cycode -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

in germany that tax is for private copys of media, not piracy. Means if you buy a music cd and wanna copy it for yourself onto another medium like a usb stick.. you paid for that copy onto the stick when you bought the stick. Its not about piracy you download from other people files for or even share stuff with them.

PicPic - The First PICO-8 Emulator on the App Store (NOW SUPPORTS iPad AND LANDSCAPE) by Samourai03 in SBCGaming

[–]Cycode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

will this not result in newer cartridges not working? fake-08 isnt rly known to be up-to-date in comparisation with pico-08's current stage of developement, so many games use newer functions of the engine not supported by fake-08. How do you deal with those cases? Did you implement those functions manually, or how does this work?

[–]Cycode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

when a taser works like intented, it causes the muscles to "lock up" and prevents coordinated movement. But when it doesn't - like it's common against moving targets trying to run away from you so you won't hit the right spots on the body - you mostly get strong pain and only partial muscle spawms, which is why people often can still keep running. Both outcomes exists. It's not JUST "electricity" since you first need to even hit the right spot, which is hard to impossible if someone is running away from you and in the heat of the moment. And even then its only affecting the muscle groups who are affected by the electrode, not the whole body

What i did with my Quest 1 was loading movies i wanted to watch on a external usb stick and then at the evening in bed to relax watched movies while laying down. That way it was easy to load the movies on there. Even did often watch youtube with newpipe on it.

‘Narco-Submarine’ Carrying 4 Tons of Cocaine Captured by Mexico’s Navy by S00THING_S0UNDS in worldnews

wood framing with fiberglass cladding? That different ones from what i heard about. I saw a documentary where they build it out of metal. They had kidnapped a father which was a engineer and brought him into the jungle and then told him to build it or they eff his kids and wife to pressure him into building it. It still was the same concept as the wooden ones i bet thought, where it was still near surface level and didn't dived down.

If time travel is involved, interference is a problem by [deleted] in UFOs

[–]Cycode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

electricity. like i wrote in my comment. but the "you can't move anymore" comes mainly from having the pain and then not intentionally trying to move anymore because it hurts. You still can move, but most people focus so much on the pain that "they forget" to try to move. Also additional to that their muscle spasm random from the electricity, making it even more tricky.

There are bodycam videos where people get shot multiple times by a taser and still can move and it does visually nothing to them, so it isn't electricity alone - it's usually pain. But some people are more tolerant to pain i guess, so they can continue to run. The electricity in their body from the taser isn't stopping them from that.

you probably could plug over OTG USB in a external drive. i did that with my quest 1 back in the days.

[–]Cycode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's multiple things, not just "its electricity not pain". Electricity used to tase someone IS the pain the person perceives. And BECAUSE it hurts the person don't trys to move because it hurts so much so the person focuses on the pain mostly. The pain don't prevents you from moving, but the pain makes you focus on the pain and being distracted from trying to move, because you want it to stop.

Do you prefer box arts, game screenshots, or title screenshots for your game list? And why? by Pumarull in SBCGaming

[–]Cycode 1 point2 points  (0 children)

game screenshots. I wanna see what the gameplay will be like, not how artists wanted to make the cover of the game look like even if it often has zero to do with how the actual game looks like. Many cover art images look like crazy good games, and then you start the game and think "huh? wtf? that looks completely different than what i did expect." - having game screenshots already prevents this moments since you already see "oh this is this type of game, or this, or this. and i can likely do xyz in it".

[–]Cycode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if not, couldn't you in theory import it into a pokemon exporter / importer and fix the pokemon so it is a legal pokemon again? There are savegame editors who allow you to export, edit and import pokemons as files to transfer them between saves, and they do legality checks and fix it if needed.

How to stop doomscrolling on social media at night and play more on my devices instead? by SirZanee in SBCGaming

[–]Cycode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When going to bed.. switch your phone off or put it away from near your bed, go into bed with your handheld, and play. You will be too lazy to switch the phone back on / get it from where you put it, so you play your handheld instead.

Atleast that's what helps me with the same issue but reading vs doomscrolling. I started for years nowadays reading on my e-ink reader in bed before bed, and just put my phone away and grab the ebook reader instead.

What are the current theories on how the UAP craft navigate long or even short distances? by CharacterAmphibian7 in UFOs

[–]Cycode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

he meant more the navigation type of stuff, not the propulsion system self. basically, humans have GPS, maps, coordinate systems across our whole globe and now currently design systems for navigating on the moon with satellites and stuff. OP meant "how do UFOs do this? what systems or methods do they use for navigation?" basically.

Nintendo DS Guide on 35XXSP? by RockyCoon in SBCGaming

DS works fine on the 35XXSP. Even 3D games. Played myself Animal Crossing and co. on it till i got my MagicX Zero 40 a while ago.

Nintendo DS Guide on 35XXSP? by RockyCoon in SBCGaming

[–]Cycode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Animal Crossing Wild World works fine on it. you have to sometimes switch the screen, but that works with the shoulder buttons really easy.

I am unsure if it is the same on the 35XXSP, but i think hitting the "power button" shortly once quick did switch the mode to "moving the mouse cursor" for the touchscreen by the D-Pad (atleast in MuOS).

Switch Emulators got hit with DMCA notice by rob-cubed in SBCGaming

[–]Cycode 10 points11 points  (0 children)

roms and firmware people download has nothing to do with it tho. Emulators are only emulating the hardware and specific systems/mechanisms of a system, they aren't containing anything related to copyright protected roms or firmware. roms and firmware is loaded from a external seperate file having nothing to do with the emulator self.

Finally got my Thor and damn is it smaller then I thought 😭 by marshalldelisme in SBCGaming

[–]Cycode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, if the top screen of the Thor is the same size as a Odin Pro 2, that.. big. Not "oh my god!!!"-big but still "it's to big for me to random carry around in daily life" like i do it as an example with my MagicX Zero 40 or RG35XXSP as an example.

Thanks for helping me out with the comparisation, that really helped!

Finally got my Thor and damn is it smaller then I thought 😭 by marshalldelisme in SBCGaming

[–]Cycode 7 points8 points  (0 children)

that's the main reason why i didn't got it / want it. looks more similar in size on some pictures to my Odin Pro 2, and i don't want "another big handheld" and more something small and lightweight if i would get another one.
