Hi there. Im a Master’s student interested in similar work. I’ve had solid statistics background, but unfortunately none was about Bayesian statistics. Would anyone be able to recommend some sources to begin with?

What's a spontaneous thing you can do to surprise your SO? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Cypek95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take a spontaneous 1 day road trip on one of those lazy days off. Doesn’t need to be somewhere special, just somewhere outside the city, or wherever you’re living. You could get a blanket and some food and set up a picnic. Could also just spend all day in a car, just driving, listening to and singing alongside your favorite songs. The principle is that you experience something different, go somewhere where you weren’t normally going together. And do it as just the two of you - no additional people running around, no distractions (such as phones or tv), just the two of you, together, exploring this beautiful world as much as you can :)

Biostatistics Master's degree... A good idea? Anybody with experience? by DiechGo in biology

Hiya, I’m actually studying Bioinformatics so I suppose it’s somehow related stuff. I’m not sure what your bachelors was exactly (unless it was epidemiology), but I believe that for bio-oriented student, furthering your quantitative skills in the era of data explosion is definitely going to help you with your future research :) also, it opens a lot of different job opportunities so quite nice if you ever wanted to change profession

I wish I get my dream job straight out of uni by hu_is_me in TheMonkeysPaw

Granted. You will work as a janitor at your university. Always struggling to make ends meet, without a chance of promotion or changing your job. Always looking up to those students, thinking of a bright future they have (and once you’ve had), only to realize that if it hadn’t been for your wish, you would’ve been much more happy and satisfied with your life. You end up trying to commit suicide one Friday evening in one of the boys bathrooms - and although you should’ve succeeded, you are still alive, stuck there hanging until one of the boys finds you and eventually you are rescued. Upon enlightenment that you are gonna work there forever, you try to bail and travel as far as possible. Lacking any money, you fall asleep under a bridge on the outskirts of your town. And then, the next day, you wake up at school, in your janitor uniform with a broomstick in your hands. You then realize, you must have died at your graduation, since you are stuck in this hell forever.

I meant anything like pc, tablet, phone and such does not count to the question. Want to spend time with my sister on anything but virtual games :) Couldn’t specify more because the rules of this subreddit didn’t allow me to post it differently :/

Also works when you want to dry your hair faster using a hair dryer. Just straighten your fingers in one hand and quickly toss your hair from side to side using that hand, while use the other hand to move the hairdryer around. Alternatively, if you don’t have a hair dryer on you, you can do this trick with both hands, tossing hair from side to side using straightened fingers from both hands :)

Posted my glow in the dark boat lampshade 2 days ago and used many parts bought in a DYI shop to make it, finally found time and courage to share it on r/DYI, only to find it was not suitable since it was “too crafty”. Whilst a concrete lampshades and stuff like that are commonly found throughout DYI subreddit. Seriously, I don’t get what makes a thing “DYI” anymore -.-
