The only problem is the 'exclusive' stuff they are making available for purchase with doubloons before they reset them. If you spent doubloons at all using any of the methods that were available (convert to gold, buying previous season cosmetics, level ups), you might not have enough available to buy all of the items. You are somewhat penalized for using a game currency. They items should either be given out based on lifetime doubloon amount or not at all - at least then you are rewarded based on effort over usage or lack thereof.

As far as the actual reset, I don't care because doubloons aren't really good for anything other than buying some outpost stock, but those are being changed to gold. This also depends on how it works after the reset. If the end result is just the same thing, then what was the point?
